PENGARUH PEMBERIAN LARUTAN GULA PASIR DAN PERAK NITRAT (AgNO3) TERHADAP KESEGARAN BUNGA POTONG GERBERA (Gerbera jamesonii H. Bolus ex. Hooker)

Bunga gerbera (Gerbera jamesonii H. Bolus ex. Hooker) merupakan salah satu bunga potong yang paling penting di dunia. Salah satu masalah yang dihadapi bunga potong gerbera adalah umur pendek setelah panen. Penelitian ini bertuj mengetahui pengaruh terhadap pemberian larutan gula pasir untuk mempertahankan kesegaran bunga potong gerbera, mengetahui konsentrasi perak nitrat (AgNO3) yang tepat untuk mempertahankan kesegaran bunga potong gerbera, dan mengetahui kombinasi larutan gula pasir dan perak nitrat (AgNO3) untuk mempertahankan kesegaran bunga potong gerbera. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Agronomi dan Hortikultura Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Jenderal Soedirman, pada bulan Maret sampai bulan April 2018. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok Lengkap (RAKL) pola faktorial dengan 2 faktor, yang terdiri dari 9 kombinasi perlakuan dan diulang sebanyak tigal kali. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: penambahan gula pasir dengan konsentrasi 3% mampu mempertahankan masa kesegaran hingga 18,89 hari, penambahan perak nitrat (AgNO3) memberikan pengaruh nyata tehadap volume larutan terserap pulsing sebesar 8,70 ml, dan pemberian kombinasi larutan gula dan perak nitrat (AgNO3) berpengaruh nyata terhadap volume larutan terserap pulsing sebesar 9,11 ml.

Gerbera (Gerbera jamesonii H. Bolus ex. Hooker) is one of the most important cut flowers in the world. One of the problems facing interest is short life after harvest. This research aims to: to know the effect of giving sugar solution to maintain freshness of gerbera cut flowers, to know the proper concentration of nitratesilver (AgNO3) to maintain freshness of gerbera cut flowers, and to know the combination of sugar and nitrate silver solution (AgNO3) to maintain the freshness of gerbera cut flowers. The research was conducted at Agronomy and Horticulture Laboratory of Faculty of Agriculture Jenderal Soedirman University, from March to April 2018. This research used Factorial Randomized Completely Block Design (RCBD) with 2 factors, consisting of 9 treatment combinations and repeated as many as three times. The results of the study showed that: The addition of sugar with 3% concentration was able to maintain the freshness period up to 18.89 days, The addition of silver nitrate (AgNO3) gave a real effect on the volume of solution absorbed by the pulsing of 8.70 ml, and the combination of sugar and nitrate silver (AgNO3) give a real effect to the volume of solvent absorbed solution of 9.11 ml.
