KEEFEKTIFAN WAKTU PERENDAMAN BENIH CABAI DALAM METABOLIT SEKUNDER Pseudomonas fluorescens (P60) TERHADAP PENYAKIT DISEBABKAN VIRUS TERBAWA BENIH

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh waktu perendaman benih cabai dalam metabolit sekunder P. fluorescens (P60) dalam mengendalikan penyakit karena virus terbawa benih dan pengaruhnya terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman cabai. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Perlindungan Tanaman dan Green House, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman pada bulan Oktober 2017 sampai dengan Maret 2018. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok dengan 6 ulangan dan 4 perlakuan, terdiri dari perendaman benih dalam P. fluorescens (P60) selama 15, 30 dan, 60 menit. Variabel yang diamati meliputi daya kecambah, tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, bobot segar akar, bobot segar tanaman pada komponen pertumbuhan, dan pada komponen patosistem meliputi masa inkubasi, intensitas penyakit, kejadian penyakit, Area Under Progress Curve (AUDPC), serta kandungan senyawa fenol berupa glikosida, tanin, dan saponin. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan lama perendaman selama 30 menit dalam metabolit sekunder P. fluorescens (P60) mampu mengendalikan penyakit karena virus terbawa benih dan meningkatkan pertumbuhan tanaman cabai. Perendaman selama 30 menit dengan metabolit sekunder P. fluorescens (P60) mampu meningkatkan besarnya daya kecambah hingga mencapai 73,57% dan menekan intensitas penyakit, dan kejadian penyakit sebesar 84,52%; 63,63% meningkatkan kandungan fenol dalam jaringan daun tanaman, serta menurunkan nilai AUDPC sebesar 79,70% dibandingkan dengan kontrol. Perendaman benih dalam metabolit sekunder P. fluorescens (P60) selama 30 menit mampu meningkatkan tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, bobot segar akar, dan bobot segar tanaman masing-masing 30,01%; 50,96%; 34,68%; 38,98% dibandingkan kontrol.

The purpose of the research was to determine the influence of soaking time (period) of chili seed in secondary metabolites of P.fluorescens (P60) to control disease caused virus carried by seed and it was influence to the growth of chili plant. The research conducted in the Laboratory of Plant Protection and Green house, Faculty of Agriculture, Jenderal Soedirman University, from Oktober 2017 to Maret 2018. The research used Randomized Group design with six replication and four treatments, consisted of soaking in secondary metabolites of P. fluorescens (P60) for 15, 30, and 60 minutes. The observed variables were germination capacity, crop height, leave numbers, root fresh weight, and crop fresh weight as the growth component, while as the component variables of patosistem consists of incubation period, disease intensity, disease insidence, Area Under Progress Curve (AUDPC), and the content of phenol compounds in the form of glycosides, tannins, and saponins. The result of the research showed that the soaking duration of 30 minutes in secondary metabolites of P. fluorescens (P60) could control disease caused by viruses carried by seed and increase growth of chili plant. The soaking time of chili seed in secondary metabolites of P. fluorescens (P60) could increase germination capacity until 73,57 % and disease intensity, disease insidence, of 84,52%; 63,63%, increase the phenol content in plant tissues, along desreasing value AUDPC 79,70% compared to control. The soaking time of chili seed in secondary metabolites of P. fluorescens (P60) for 30 minutes could increase plant height, leaf number, fresh weight of the roots, and fresh weight of plant 30,01%; 50,96%; 34,68%; 38,98% respectively compared to control.
