Hubungan Verbal Abuse Orang Tua Terhadap Big Five Personality Pada Anak Usia Sekolah di SD Negeri 3 Arcawinangun

Latar Belakang: Periode usia sekolah adalah masa dimana terjadi perubahan yang beragam pada pertumbuhan dan perkembangan anak. Anak yang mendapat verbal abuse orang tua berdampak pada kepribadian anak yang dapat dilihat dari big five personality. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara verbal abuse orang tua terhadap big five personality dimensi extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, neuroticism dan openess to experience pada anak usia sekolah di SDN 3 Arcawinangun. Metode: Jenis penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain cross sectional. Teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu total sampling (76 siswa). Data dianalisis menggunakan uji Kolmogorov-Smirnov. Hasil: Siswa mengalami verbal abuse orang tua kategori sedang (63,2%). Lebih dari separuh siswa kelas V dan VI memiliki big five personality dimensi extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, neuroticismi dan openess to experience pada kategori tinggi. Hasil uji Kolmogorov-Smirnov antara verbal abuse dengan big five personality terdapat hubungan yang signifikan dengan nilai p = 0,031 pada dimensi neuroticism. Kesimpulan: Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara verbal abuse orang tua terhadap big five personality dimensi neuroticism pada anak usia sekolah di SD Negeri 3 Arcawinangun

Background: The school age periode is the period when there are varied changes in the child’s growth and development. Verbal abuse usually impact on the child’s personality which is could be seen from the big five personality. Purpose: The aim of this study was to know the correlation between verbal abuse by parents to the big five personality dimension of extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, neuroticism and openness to experience at school age children in SDN 3 Arcawinangun. Methods: This study use quantitative research with cross sectional design. The sampling technique is total sampling (76 students). The data were analyzed using Kolmogorov-Smirnov test. Result: Students experienced the middle category of verbal abuse (63,2%). More than half students have a big five personality dimension such as extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, neuroticism, and openess to experience in the high category. Result Kolmogorov-Smirnov’s test between verbal abuse with the big five personality there is a significant relationship with the p value = 0,031 on the dimensions of neuroticism. Conclusion: There is a significant correlation between verbal abuse by parents to the big five personality dimensions of neuroticism in school-age children in SD Negeri 3 Arcawinangun
