Pengawetan Spermatozoa Ikan Cupang (Betta splendens) Berbeda Strain Dalam Air Kelapa Muda

Penelitian berjudul ‘’Pengawetan Spermatozoa Ikan Cupang (Betta splendens) Berbeda Strain Dalam Air Kelapa Muda”. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh berbagai strain ikan cupang (B. splendens) terhadap viabilitas dan motilitas spermatozoa pasca pengawetan dalam air kelapa muda suhu -25ºC. Penelitian ini dilakukan bulan Oktober sampai November 2017 di Laboratorium Pengembangan Akuakultur, Fakultas Perikanan dan Ilmu Kelautan, Unsoed. Metode eksperimental diterapkan dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Variabel meliputi motilitas dan viabilitas spermatozoa ikan Cupang (B. splendens). Data dianalisis ANOVA dan dilanjutkan dengan uji BNT. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strain berbeda berpengaruh nyata terhadap motilitas (P<0,05). Strain Giant sebesar 50%; Halfmoon 85% dan Serit 45,85%. Viabilitas spermatozoa yang menunjukkan berbeda nyata (P<0,05) dengan nilai rata-rata viabilitas tertinggi adalah strain Serit 97,67 detik, Giant 88,75 detik dan Halfmoon 80,6 detik. Kesimpulannya adalah strain berbeda berpengaruh nyata terhadap motilitas dan viabilitas spermatozoa yang disimpan dalam air kelapa muda. A study, entitled ''Preservation in Young Coconut Water of Fighting Fish (Betta splendens) Spermatozoa from Different Strains", dealt with to investigate the effect of dfferent strains of fish on viability and motility of spermatozoa after 1w preservation in -25ºC young coconut water. The study was conducted from October to November 2017 at the Aquaculture Development Laboratory, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Unsoed. An experimental method applied Completely Randomized Design (CRD) to test 3 different strains, i.e. Giant, Halfmoon, and Crowntail, in quintuplicates as individuals. Motility and viability of spermatozoa data were F-tested by ANOVA and were continued with Least Square Different test. The results showed that different strains affected significantly on motility (P <0.05), since Giant strain of 50% of motility; Halfmoon 85% and Crowtail 45.85%. Spermatozoa viability were also significantly different (P <0.05), the highest viability (97.67 sec) was obsereved in Crowntail strain, 88.75 sec in Giant and 80.6 sec in Halfmoon strains. It could be conclued that different strains significantly presented different motility and viability of spermatozoa which were preserved in young coconut water at -25oC.
