PERTUMBUHAN DAN HASIL SAWI HIJAU (Brassica juncea L.) PADA BEBERAPA JENIS MEDIA TANAM DAN KONSENTRASI NUTRISI PADA SISTEM HIDROPONIK SUMBU

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengetahui pengaruh media tanam terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman sawi hijau (2) mengetahui pengaruh taraf konsentrasi nutrisi terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman sawi hijau, dan (3) mengetahui media tanam dan konsentrasi nutrisi terbaik untuk tanaman sawi hijau dengan sistem hidroponik sumbu. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di dalam rumah plastik di Jl. Gatot Subroto No. 7, Kedungwuluh Purwokerto Barat, Jawa Tengah dengan ketinggian tempat 80 meter di atas permukaan laut, pada bulan Agustus sampai dengan September 2017. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok Lengkap (RAKL) dengan 2 faktor. Faktor pertama adalah jenis media tanam, yaitu: Rockwool (M1), kompos (M2), zeolit (M3), kotoran ayam+sekam padi (M4), arang sekam (M5), dan pasir (M6). Faktor kedua adalah taraf konsentrasi nutrisi AB-mix, yaitu: 1000 ppm (N1) dan 1500 ppm (N2). Variabel pengamatan meliputi tinggi tanaman, luas daun terluas, jumlah daun, bobot tanaman segar, dan bobot tajuk tanaman segar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa; (1) media tanam terbaik untuk pertumbuhan dan hasil sawi hijau (Brassica juncea L.) adalah kotoran ayam+sekam padi (M4), (2) taraf konsentrasi nutrisi AB-mix terbaik untuk pertumbuhan dan hasil sawi hijau (Brassica juncea L.) adalah 1000 ppm (N1), (3) kombinasi antara media tanam dan taraf konsentrasi nutrisi AB-mix terbaik adalah M4 dengan N1 (media tanam kotoran ayam+sekam padi dengan konsentrasi 1000 ppm).

This research goals are to: (1) find out the effect of planting media on growth and yield of green mustard (2) knowing the effect of the level nutrient concentration to growth and yield of green mustard, and (3) knowing the best planting media and level nutrient concentration for green mustard with wick hydroponic system. This research has been conducted in plastic house at Gatot Subroto street No. 7, Kedungwuluh West Purwokerto, Central Java with a height of 80 meters above sea level, from August until September 2017. The experimental design used was Completely Randomized Block Design with 2 factors. The first factor is the type of planting media, namely: Rockwool (M1), compost (M2), zeolite (M3), chicken manure + rice husk (M4), charcoal husk (M5), and sand (M6). The second factor is the level concentration of AB-mix nutrition, namely: 1000 ppm (N1) and 1500 ppm (N2). Observation variables include plant height, widest leaf area, number of leaves, fresh plant weight, and fresh plant canopy weight. The results showed; (1) that the best type of planting media for growth and yield of mustard greens (Brassica juncea L.) was chicken manure + rice husk (M4, (2) The best concentration of AB-mix nutrition for growth and yield of mustard greens (Brassica juncea L.) was 1000 ppm (N1), and (3) The best combination between planting medium and the concentration of nutrient AB-mix was M4 with N1 (planting medium of chicken manure + rice husk with concentration 1000 ppm).
