MOTILITAS DAN VIABILITAS SPERMATOZOA IKAN CUPANG (Betta splendens) DARI STRAIN BERBEDA PASCA PENYIMPANAN DALAM MADU PADA SUHU (-25°C)

Penelitian berjudul ‘’Motilitas dan Viabilitas Spermatozoa Ikan Cupang (Betta splendens) dari Strain Berbeda Pasca Penyimpanan dalam Madu pada Suhu -25°C”. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui motilitas dan viabilitas spermatozoa ikan Cupang (B.splendens) strain Halfmoon, Crowntail and Bangkok pasca penyimpanan dalam madu pada suhu -25°C. Penelitian ini dilakukan bulan Maret sampai April 2017 di Laboratorium Pengembangan Akuakultur, Fakultas Perikanan dan Ilmu Kelautan, Unsoed. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode eksperimental Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Variabel yang diamati meliputi motilitas dan viabilitas spermatozoa ikan Cupang (B.splendens). Data dianalisis menggunakan ANOVA dan dilanjutkan dengan uji BNT. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motilitas spermatozoa ikan Cupang pada strain berbeda berbeda nyata (P<0,05) untuk strain Halfmoon 45,98±6,19%, Bangkok 43,72±5,05%, dan Serit 31,33±5,66%. Viabilitas spermatozoa menunjukkan berbeda nyata (P<0,05) dengan nilai rata-rata viabilitas tertinggi pasca penyimpanan adalah strain Halfmoon 9,83±1,36 detik, Bangkok 7,47±2,25 detik dan Serit 5,80±2,05 detik. Sehingga penggunaan ekstender madu berpengaruh pada ikan Cupang (B.splendens) strain berbeda.

A research, entitled “Motility and Viability of Spermatozoa in different strain fighting fish (Betta splendens) stored in honey at -25°C”, was to study the effect of different strains, i.e. Halfmoon, Crowntail and Bangkok, on the motility and viability spermatozoa after storing at -25°C. This research was conducted during Maret – April 2017 at Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science Laboratory of Unsoed. A completely randomized design method was applied to test those different strains as treatments in quintuplicates. Data of motility and viability of spermatozoa were F-tested with ANOVA and LSD test. Motility of spermatozoa was significantly higher for Halfmoon (45,98±6,19%) than that from Bangkok (43,72±5,05%), or Crowntail (31,33±5,66%). Viability of spermatozoa was also significantly longer from Halfmoon strain (9.83±1.36 sec) than that from Bangkok (7,47±2,25 sec) and Crowntail (5.80±2.05 sec) strains. It could be concluded that spermatozoa, stored in honey, from different strains affected on motility and viability.
