Betta imbellis merupakan salah satu jenis ikan cupang di Indonesia.  Kendala dalam pengembangannya yaitu pemijahan masih tergantung kondisi alam dan performa reproduksinya belum diketahui.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui performa reproduksi ikan cupang (B. imbellis) tiga generasi (F0, F1 dan F2).  Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimental dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 3 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan yaitu induk B. imbellis generasi nol (tangkapan alam) (F0), induk B. imbellis generasi pertama (F1), dan induk B. imbellis generasi kedua (F2).  Hasil uji statistik menunjukkan faktor generasi (F0, F1 dan F2) berpengaruh nyata (P< 0,05) terhadap panjang total induk jantan, berat tubuh induk jantan, diameter telur, hatching rate dan volume kuning telur, namun tidak berpengaruh nyata (P> 0,05) terhadap panjang total induk betina, berat induk betina, fekunditas dan fertilization rate.  F0 memiliki diameter telur yang lebih pendek, hatching rate yang lebih rendah dan volume kuning telur yang lebih banyak dibandingkan F1 dan F2. F1 memiliki diameter telur, hatching rate dan volume kuning telur yang cenderung tidak jauh berbeda dengan F2.

Betta imbellis is one of Betta species in Indonesia.  Obstacles found in the development are in spawning still depend on natural conditions and its reproduction performance that is known yet.  This study aimed to determine three generations of Betta (B. imbellis) reproduction performance (F0, F1 and F2).  The method used is an experimental method with Completely Randomized Design with 3 treatments and 3 repetitions namely B. imbellis zero generation (wild catch) (F0), B. imbellis  first generation (F1), and B. imbellis parent second generation (F2).  The statistic test result shows that generation factor (F0, F1 and F2) has significant effect (P< 0,05) to the total length, body weight of male parent, egg diameter, hatching rate and egg yolk volume, yet it has no significant effect (P> 0.05) to the total length, weight of female parent, fecundity and fertilization rate.   F0 has a shorter egg diameter, lower hatching rate and more egg yolk volume than F1 and F2. F1 has egg diameter, hatching rate and egg yolk volume which tend to be not much different from F2.
