PENGARUH VARIASI KONSENTRASI KH2PO4 PADA SINTESIS FOTOKATALIS Ag3PO4 DAN UJI AKTIVITASNYA TERHADAP RHODAMIN B

Rhodamin B sebagai salah satu pewarna tekstil, sangat sulit untuk didegradasi dalam perairan. Senyawa ini berbahaya bagi manusia serta dapat merusak ekosistem air. Oleh sebab itu, diperlukan metode yang tepat untuk menguraikannya. Fotokatalisis adalah metode yang efektif dan efisien dalam mendegradasi pewarna tekstil Rhodamin B dengan bantuan radiasi cahaya tampak. Fotokatalis Ag3PO4 berhasil disintesis dengan metode presipitasi, yang berasal dari AgNO3 dan variasi molar KH2PO4 yang dinamakan sebagai sampel AK010, AK015, AK030, AK045 dan AK060. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sampel AK015 mempunyai aktivitas tertinggi. Morfologi tetrahedron dan ukuran spheric 1-3 µm, menyebabkan tingginya fotokatalitik Ag3PO4. Profil XRD (X-ray Diffraction) telah terbukti bahwa struktur sampel tersebut adalah kubus berpusat badan. Penurunan aktivitas pada uji recycle di AK015, menunjukkan bahwa sampel tidak stabil.

Rhodamine B as one of the textile dyes is difficult to degrade in the river. It is also harmful to humans and can damage the water ecosystem. Therefore, an appropriate method is needed to degrade it. Photocatalysis is effective and efficient method to degrading the dye of Rhodamine B under visible light irradiation. Photocatalyst of Ag3PO4 was successfully synthesized by precipitation method using the starting material of AgNO3 and KH2PO4 with the molar variation named as AK010, AK015, AK030, AK045 and AK060. The result showed that the AK015 exhibited the highest photocatalytic activity. The tetrahedron morpoholgy and spheric size of 1-3 µm in AK015 caused the enahnced photocatalytic activity of Ag3PO4. The XRD (X-ray Diffraction) profile proved that the structure of the sample is a body centered cube. The decreased activity of recycle test in AK015 showed that the sample is not stable.
