PENGARUH PENDIDIKAN KESEHATAN DENGAN MEDIA BOOKLET TERHADAP PENGETAHUAN DAN MOTIVASI IBU DALAM PEMBERIAN ASI EKSKLUSIF DI RUANG PERINATOLOGI AstriYulia Nugraeni1Mekar Dwi Anggraeni2Hartati³ Abstrak LatarBelakang: Rendahnya cakupan pemberian ASI eksklusif di Indonesia disebabkan oleh rendahnya tingkat pengetahuan dan motivasi ibu. Cakupan pemberian ASI eksklusif di ruang perinatologi lebih rendah daripada rawat gabung.Upaya yang dapat dilakukan oleh perawat adalah dengan memberikan pendidikan kesehatan untuk meningkatkan pemberian ASI eksklusif di ruang perinatologi. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendidikan kesehatan dengan media booklet terhadap pengetahuan dan motivasi ibu dalam pemberian ASI eksklusif di ruang perinatologi. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain non randomized pretest and posttest with control group. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik consecutive sampling dengan jumlah 20 responden kelompok intervensi dan 20 responden kelompok kontrol yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuesioner data demografi, kuesioner pengetahuan tentang ASI dan kuesioner motivasi ibu dalam pemberian ASI eksklusif. Analisa data menggunakan uji statistik Wilcoxon dan uji Mann Whitney. Hasil: Hasil uji Wilcoxon menunjukkan adanya perbedaan antara skor pengetahuan dan motivasi pretes dan posttest pada masing-masing kelompok. Hasil uji Mann Whitney menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan skor postest pengetahuan dan motivasi ibu dalam pemberian ASI eksklusif di ruang perinatologi antara kelompok intervensi dan kontrol. Kesimpulan: Pendidikan kesehatan dengan media booklet efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan dan motivasi ibu dalam pemberian ASI eksklusif di ruang perinatologi. THE EFFECTS OF HEALTH EDUCATION WITH BOOKLET MEDIA ON EXCLUSIVE BEASTFEEDING KNOWLEDGE AND MOTIVATION IN PERINATOLOGY AstriYulia Nugraeni¹Mekar Dwi Anggraeni²Hartati³ Abstract Background: The Indonesian exclusive breastfeeding rate is due to the low level of mother's knowledge and motivation. Exclusive breastfeeding levels in the perinatology are lower than maternal and infant care unit. The efforts that nurses can do is to provide health education to improve exclusive breastfeeding in perinatology. Objective: This study aimed to determine the effect of health education using booklet to improve mother's knowledge and motivation in exclusive breastfeeding in perinatology. Method: This was non randomized pretest and postest with control group design. This study used consecutive sampling method and recruited 20 respondents in intervention group and 20 respondents in control group who met the inclusion criteria and did not meet the exclusion criteria. This study used three questionnaires; they were demographic data questionnaire, exclusive breasfeeding knowledge questionnaire and exclusive breastfeeding motivation questionnaire. Data was analyzed using Wilcoxon test and Mann Whitney test since the data were not normally distributed. Results: The results of Wilcoxon test showed that there were differences of pretes and postest scores exclusive breastfeeding knowledge and motivation in each group with the the value of p = 0,000. Mann Whitney test showed that there were an significant differences between the intervention and control group postest score of knowledge and motivation with the value of p = 0,022. Conclusion: Health education using a booklet is effective to improving mother's knowledge and motivation in exclusive breastfeeding in perinatology.
