Latar Belakang: Pengrajin batu bata berisiko menderita penyakit akibat kerja maupun kecelakaan kerja. Dampak yang mungkin terjadi akibat pembuatan batu bata antara lain dermatitis, penyakit cacingan, terkena percikan api dan ISPA. Pengendalian dan pencegahan penyakit dan kecelakaan akibat kerja salah satunya yaitu dengan alat pelindung diri (APD). Pemakaian alat pelindung diri sangat di pengaruhi oleh perilaku pekerja. Hasil studi pendahuluan pada pengrajin bata di Kecamatan Sokaraja menunjukkan angka yang rendah dalam pemakaian APD yaitu, dari 6 pengrajin bata, 1 diantaranya menggunakan sepatu boots, 2 diantaranya menggunakan sarung tangan dan sisanya 3 pengrajin tidak memakai alat pelindung diri. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap perilaku pemakaian alat pelindung diri pada pengrajin bata di Kecamatan Sokaraja.
Metodologi: Metode penelitian yang digunakan bersifat kuantitatif analitik dengan desain cross sectional. Jumlah sampel 82 responden dengan teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu simple random sampling. Uji statistik yang digunakan adalah Chi-square dan Regresi logistik dengan metode Backward LR.
Hasil Penelitian: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang bermakna antara peran rekan kerja (p=0.004) dan akses informasi (p=0.030) dengan perilaku pemakaian APD pada pengrajin bata di Kecamatan Sokaraja. Hasil analisis multivariat menunjukkan bahwa peran rekan kerja (p=0.004) dan akses informasi (p=0,030) merupakan faktor yang paling berpengaruh dengan perilaku pemakaian APD pada pengrajin bata di Kecamatan Sokaraja. Kekuatan hubungan yang paling kuat adalah peran rekan kerja dengan nilai OR = 3,237 dan akses informasi dengan nilai OR = 2.479.
Kesimpulan: Variabel peran rekan kerja dan akses informasi berhubungan dengan perilaku pemakaian alat pelindung diri pada pengrajin bata di Kecamatan Sokaraja.

Background: The craftsman of bricks are at risks for occupational diseases and occupational accidents. Impacts that can occur due to brick making are dermatitis, helminthes diseases, exposure to sparks and respiratory infection. Control and prevention of occupational diseases and accidents one of them with personal protective equipment (PPE). The use of personal protective equipment is greatly influenced by workers' behavior. The results of preliminary studies on brick craftsmen in Sub Distric Sokaraja showed a low number in the use of PPE that is, from 6 brick craftsmen, 1 of them using boots, 2 of them using gloves and the remaining 3 crasftmans didn’t wear personal protective equipment. The purpose of this study is to determine the factors that affect the behavior of the use of personal protective equipment on brick craftsmen in District Sokaraja.
Methods: The research method used is quantitative analytic with cross sectional design. The sample is 82 respondents with sampling technique that is simple random sampling. The statistical test used is Chi-square and logistic regression with Backward LR method.
Result: The result of the research shows that there are significant relationship between the role of co-workers (p = 0.004) and information access (p = 0.030) with the behavior of PPE usage on the brick craftsman in Sub Distric Sokaraja. The result of multivariate analysis showed that the role of co-workers (p = 0.004) and acces information (p=0,030) was the most influential factor with the behavior of PPE usage on brick craftsmen in Sub Distric Sokaraja. The strongest strength of the relationship is the role of co-workers with OR value = 3,237 and acces information with OR value = 2,479
Conclusion: Variables role of co-workers and information access are associated with the behavior of PPE usage on the brick craftsman in Sub Distric Sokaraja
