PERAN UNIFIL II (UNITED NATION FORCE IN LEBANON II) DALAM PENYELESAIAN KONFLIK HIZBULLAH – ISRAEL DI LEBANON 2006 - 2015

Penelitian ini membahas bagaimana peran Organisasi Internasional sebagai pihak ketiga pada konflik antara Hizbullah dan Israel yang terjadi di wilayah Lebanon. Konflik antara kelompok Hizbullah dengan Negara Israel yang berlangsung sejak lama membutuhkan pihak ketiga untuk menginisiasi perdamaian antar keduanya. Organisasi Internasional dalam hal ini PBB membentuk sebuah pasukan yang dikenal sebagai UNIFIL, tujuannya adalah sebagai inisiator dalam mendamaikan dan mengkondusifkan konflik yang terjadi di Lebanon tersebut. UNIFIL datang ke Lebanon dalam misi peacekeeping operation, sebagai pasukan penjaga perdamaian agar konflik mereda. UNIFIL II melaksanakan tugasnya sebagai peacekeeper dengan cara memonitoring pergerakan tentara Israel dan kelompok Hizbullah di wilayah rawan konflik. Tindakan yang UNIFIL II ambil pun tidak mengutamakan persenjataan dan power mereka sebagai pasukan perdamaian, tujuannya agar tidak terjadi kesalahpahaman dari salah satu pihak karena UNIFIL II hadir bersifat netral dan membangun kepercayaan kedua belah pihak.

This research talk over how the role of International Organization as a third party on the conflict between Hizbullah and Israel that occurred in the Lebanese region. The conflict between Hizbollah and Israel required a third party to initiate peace Hizbullah and Israel. The International Organization in this case, the United Nations, established a force known as UNIFIL, its objective is being as an initiator in reconciling and conducting the conflict in Lebanon. UNIFIL came to Lebanon on a peacekeeping operation mission, as peacekeeping troops for the conflict to subside. UNIFIL II performs its duties as a peacekeeper by monitoring the movement of Israel soldiers and Hizbollah groups in troubled areas. The action that UNIFIL II took did not give priority to their armament and power as peacekeeping forces, the goal was to avoid misunderstanding from one of the parties because UNIFIL II was present neutral and built the trust of both parties.
