Penelitian ini menganalisis makna lagu My Hearts Draws a Dream (MHDaD) dalam album Kiss karya L`arc – en – ciel. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk: a) Mendeskripsikan pembacaan heuristik dan hermeneutik pada lirik lagu MHDaD karya L’Arc~en~Ciel, b) Mendeskripsikan ketidaklangsungan ekspresi pada lirik lagu MHDaD karya L’Arc~en~Cie menggunakan teori semiotika Michael Riffaterre. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif  analisis yang ditunjang dengan teknik kepustakaan. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah lagu My Heart Draws a Dream dalam Album KISS karya L`arc~ En~ Ciel. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik simak dengan cara menyimak lagu dan mencatatnya, memahami lirik lagu My Heart Draws a Dream dan mengklasifikasikan data-data yang telah didapatkan berdasarkan rumusan masalah. Keabsahan data diperoleh dengan triangulasi data dan diperkuat dengan validasi oleh seorang native speeker. Hasil penelitian adalah sebagai berikut: (1) Hasil pembacaan hermeneutik yang dilakukan pada tiap kalimat menunjukkan bahwa lagu ini bercerita tentang seseorang yang sedang mengalami sebuah masalah dan tidak takut untuk mewujudkan mimpinya walaupun sedang dalam kesulitan. (2) Ketidaklangsungan ekspresi meliputi: a) Penggantian arti ditunjukkan oleh bahasa kiasan alegori, hiperbola dan personifikasi. b) Penyimpangan arti ditunjukkan oleh ambiguitas dan kontradiksi. Ambiguitas dalam lagu ini berupa kata dan frasa. Kontradiksi dalam lagu ini ditunjukkan dengan penggunaan gaya bahasa ironi. c) Penciptaan arti ditunjukkan oleh Enjambement. Enjambement dalam puisi ini menciptakan penekanan atau penegasan suatu kata atau  kalimat. Kesimpulan dari analisis makna lagu My Hearts Draws a Dream dalam lagu album KISS karya L`arc – en – ciel ini adalah jangan mudah menyerah dan teruslah bermimpi.

The present research relates to the anlysis of the meaning songs contained in the song of My Hearts Draws a Dream in Kiss album by L`arc - en - ciel. The purposes of the research are to: a) Describe the heuristic and hermeneutic readings in L'Arc ~ en ~ Ciel lyrics My Hearts Draws a Dream, b) to reveal the expression of the lyrics of L'Arc ~ en ~ Ciel My Hearts Draws a Dream song using Michael Riffaterre's theory, the method is a descriptive  analysis this analiysis supported by literature techniques. The data sources of this research are songs from My Heart Draws a Dream in KISS Album by L`arc ~ En ~ Ciel. The technique of data collection is by listening the songs and matching with Japanese lyrics with songs, understanding the lyrics of the song My Heart Draws a Dream and classifying the data that have been obtained based on the formulation of the problem. The validity of the data is obtained with the validity of data triangulation and reinforced by validity with a native speaker. The results are as follows are: (1) The results of hermeneutic readings performed on each sentence show that the lyric of this song tells about a person who is experiencing problems and not afraid to realize his dreams despite being in trouble. (2) The non-existence of expression includes: A) The substitution of meaning is indicated by allegorical language, hyperbole and personification. B) Divergence of the meaning is indicated by ambiguity and contradiction. Ambiguity in this song is a word and phrase. The contradiction in this song is indicated by the use of the language of irony. C) Creation of meaning is indicated by Enjambement. Enjambement in this poem creates the emphasis or affirmation of a word or phrase. The conclusion of the analysis of the meaning of the song My Hearts Draws a Dream in the song album KISS works L`arc - en - ciel is not easy to give up and keep dreaming.
