GEOLOGI DAN STUDI POTENSI BATUAN INDUK HIDROKARBON BERDASARKAN ANALISIS GEOKIMIA MATERIAL ORGANIK PADA SUMUR AL-01 SUB-CEKUNGAN JAMBI CEKUNGAN SUMATERA SELATAN

Eksplorasi migas di Cekungan Sumatera Selatan harus dilakukan lebih intensif agar keberadaan potensi migas di cekungan ini dapat dimaksimalkan. Sumur AL-01 merupakan salah satu sumur eksplorasi migas yang terletak di Sub-cekungan Jambi bagian dari Cekungan Sumatera Selatan. Analisis geokimia batuan induk di sumur AL-01 sangat diperlukan sebagai bahan pertimbangan tambahan dalam pengembangan produksi migas di cekungan ini. Metode analisis geokimia yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari analisis karbon organik total, pirolisis rock-eval, tipe kerogen visual, pengukuran warna polen dan spora, dan analisis reflektansi vitrinit. Satuan litostratigrafi di sumur AL-01 dikelompokkan menjadi tiga satuan dengan urutan dari tua ke muda yakni Satuan Batulempung A dengan lingkungan pengendapan possibly Supralittoral / Non-Marine berumur Late Eosen - ?Oligosen or older, Satuan Batulempung B dengan lingkungan pengendapan possibly Supralittoral / Non-Marine - Transitional (Intertidal) - Marine (Inner - Middle Sublittoral) berumur Late Oligosen and or older, dan Satuan Batulempung C dengan lingkungan pengendapan Marine (Outer - Inner Sublittoral) - Transitional (Intertidal) berumur Early Miocene. Hasil analisis geokimia menunjukkan bahwa sampel batuan induk sumur AL-01 pada interval kedalaman 1428-3758 meter secara keseluruhan berpotensi menghasilkan hidrokarbon, dimana potensinya tergolong cukup/sedang - sangat bagus dengan nilai TOC 0,53-3,9 wt%. Sampel batuan induk pada tiap satuan batuan dominan mengandung kerogen tipe III yang cenderung menghasilkan hidrokarbon berupa gas ketika matang. Sampel batuan induk pada interval kedalaman Satuan Batulempung A dan Satuan Batulempung B secara keseluruhan menunjukkan telah matang dengan tingkat kematangan puncak hingga kelewat matang dengan kisaran nilai Ro 0,8-2,45 %. Akan tetapi, sampel batuan induk pada interval kedalaman Satuan Batulempung C hanya sebagian saja yang menunjukkan telah matang dengan tingkat kematangan puncak dengan kisaran nilai Ro 0,71-0,75 %. Batas jendela generasi minyak berada pada kedalaman Satuan Batulempung C yakni di kedalaman ±1950 meter.

Oil and gas exploration in the South Sumatra Basin should be done more intensively so that the presence of oil and gas potential in this basin can be maximized. The AL-01 well is one of the oil and gas exploration wells located in Jambi Sub-Basin part of the South Sumatera Basin. Source rock geochemistry analysis in the AL-01 well is necessary as an additional consideration in the development of oil and gas production in this basin. Geochemical analysis method used in this study consisted of the analysis of total organic carbon, rock-eval pyrolysis, visual kerogen type, pollen and spore color measurement, and vitrinite reflectance analysis. The litostratigraphic units in the AL-01 well are grouped into three units from oldest to younger that is Claystone A Unit with possibly Supralittoral/Non-Marine depositional environment and deposited at the age of Late Eocene to ?Oligocene or older, Claystone B Unit with possibly Supralittoral/Non-Marine to Transitional (Intertidal) to Marine (Inner - Middle Sublittoral) depositional environment and deposited at the age of Late Oligocene and or older, and Claystone C Unit with Marine (Outer - Inner Sublittoral) to Transitional (Intertidal) depositional environment and deposited at the age of Early Miocene. The results of geochemical analysis indicate that source rock samples in AL-01 well at depth interval of 1428 to 3758 meters as a whole is potential to produce hydrocarbon, where the potential category is fair to very good with TOC values from 0.53 to 3.9 wt%. The source rock samples from each lithostratigraphic unit as a whole mainly composed of type III kerogen which tends to produce gas hydrocarbon when matured. The source rock samples at depth of Claystone A Unit and Claystone B Unit as a whole has matured with maturity level is peak mature to post mature with Ro value ranges from 0.8 to 2.45%. However, the source rock samples at depth of Claystone C Unit only partially show has matured with the maturity level is peak mature with Ro value range 0.71 to 0.75%. The limit of oil-generation window is at depth of Claystone C Unit at ±1950 meters.
