Penelitian ini berjudul “The Depiction of William Butler Yeats’ feelings toward Maud Gonne in His Poems A Man Ypung and Old”, bermaksud untuk menemukan penggambaran perasaan Wiliiam Butler Yeats terhadap Maud Gonne pada puisinya A Man Young and Old. Lima puisi terpilih digunakan sebagai objek penelitan yang secara umum menceritakan tentang perasaan William Butler Yeats. 
Dalam data analisis, metode kualitatif digunakan melalui data reduksi, penampilan data, dan verifikasi/ penggambaran kesimpulan. Kedua unsur-unsur intrinsik dan ekstrinsik karya sastra, Strukturalisme Genetik, dengan teori Laurence Perrine digunakan sebaik jurnal dan biografi. 
Penelitian menemukan empat penggambaran perasaan Yeats terhadap Maud Gonne. Pada First Love, dia mengaguminya walau akhirnya dia mengekspresikan kesedihannya karena ditolak. Pada Human Dignity, dia masih menunjukkan kekaguman terhadapnya walau dia akhirnya menunjukkan kesedihannya dengan alasan yang sama seperti sebelumnya. Ketiga, pada Summer and Spring, dia memulai puisi dengan menunjukkan kesenangannya walau akhirnya dia mengekspresikan kecemburuannya kepada mantan suaminya. Lalu, pada The Secret of The Old, dia menunjukkan kesenangannya karena sudah diterima oleh Gonne. Terakhir, pada His Wildness, dia menggambarkan kesedihannya karena ditinggalkan kekasihnya sebab hubungan mereka yang tidak wajar.

The research entitled “The Depiction of William Butler Yeats’ Feelings Toward Maud Gonne in His Poems A Man Young and Old”, aimed to find out the depiction of William Butler Yeats’ feelings in A Man Young and Old. Five selected poems were used as the object of the research which generally tell about William Butler Yeats’ feeling. 
	In analyzing the data, qualitative method was used through data reduction, data display, and verification/ conclusion drawing. Both intrinsic and extrinsic elements of literary works, Genetic Structuralism, with Laurence Perrine theory as well as some theories from journals and biography were employed.  
	The research findings four depictions of Yeats’ feelings toward Maud Gonne. In First love, he admires her while finally he expresses his sadness because of being rejected. In Human Dignity, he still shows his admiration towards her although he describes his saddness at last because of the same reason as before. Third, in Summer and Spring, he starts the poem by showing his happiness although he expresses his jealousy to her ex-husband at the end. Next, in The Secret of The Old, he shows his happiness because of being accepted by Gonne. Last, in His Wildness, he describes his sadness because of being left by his lover because of their improper relationship.
