BOBOT KARKAS DAN BAGIAN-BAGIAN KARKAS YANG DIBERI TEPUNG DAUN AKAR PURWO (Eryngium foetidum L.) DALAM PAKAN AYAM BROILER

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh taraf pemberian paling optimal tepung daun akar purwo (Eryngium foetidum L.) terhadap bobot karkas dan bagian-bagian karkas ayam broiler. Pengambilan data mulai tanggal 23 April sampai dengan 7 Juni 2017 bertempat di kandang D Experimental Farm, Fakultas Peternakan, Universitas Jenderal, Purwokerto. Materi yang digunakan ayam broiler, tepung daun akar purwo, pakan basal (jagung, minyak kelapa, tepung ikan, bungkil kelapa, bungkil kedelai, dedak, kapur, lisin, dan metionin), kandang panggung sebanyak 20 petak dan peralatan kandang. Metode yang digunakan metode eksperimen dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Terdapat empat perlakuan yaitu P0 (tanpa pemberian), P1 (pemberian 1,5%), P2 (pemberian 3%), dan P3 (pemberian 4,5%) dan lima kali ulangan. Peubah yang diukur bobot karkas dan bobot bagian-bagian karkas. Hasil penelitian diperoleh rataan bobot karkas sebesar 646,69 g, sedangkan rataan bobot bagian-bagian karkas yaitu bobot dada sebesar 197,16 g, bobot paha sebesar 199,85 g, bobot sayap sebesar 73,83 g, bobot punggung sebesar 115,43 g, dan bobot giblet sebesar 60,43 g. Hasil analisis variansi menunjukkan pemberian tepung daun akar purwo berpengaruh sangat nyata (P < 0,01) terhadap bobot karkas dan bagian karkas dada, berpengaruh nyata (P < 0,05) terhadap bobot bagian karkas (paha dan giblet), namun memberikan pengaruh tidak nyata (P > 0,05) terhadap bobot bagian karkas (sayap dan punggung). Kesimpulan, pemberian tepung daun akar purwo sampai taraf 4,5% dapat meningkatkan bobot karkas dan bagian-bagian karkas ayam broiler, kecuali pada sayap dan punggung.

The objective of this research was to study the effect of level feeding the most optimum level of Akar Purwo leaf meal (Eryngium foetidum L.) to carcass and parts of carcass weight of broiler chicken. Data collection was conducted from April 23rd to June 7th, 2017, held at cage D of Experimental Farm, Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Jenderal Soedirman University, Purwokerto. The materials used were broiler chickens, Akar Purwo leaf meal, basal feed (corn, coconut oil, fish meal, coconut meal, soybean meal, bran, lime, lysine, and methionine), stage cages as many as 20 plots, and cage equipments. Method used was experimental method by using Completely Randomized Design. There were four treatments: P0 (without akar purwo), P1 (1.5% of Akar Purwo administration), P2 (3% of Akar Purwo administration), and P3 (4.5% of Akar Purwo administration) and five replications. The variables measured were carcass weight and weight of carcass parts. The average weight of carcass was 646.69 g, meanwhile the weight of carcass parts was 197.16 g, thigh weight was 199.85 g, wing weight was 73.83 g, weight of back was 115.43 g, and giblet weight was 60.43 g. The results showed that Akar Purwo leaf meal (P<0.01) gave a very significant effect on carcass and carcass parts (chest), (P<0.05) gave a significant effect on carcass parts (thigh and giblet), but gave no significant effect (P>0.05) on carcass parts (wings and back). In conclusion, was feeding akar purwo leaf meal to 4.5% can increase carcass weight and carcass parts of broiler chickens, except of wings and back.
