Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui ukuran linier tubuh (PB, LD, TP, PPh, LPh) dan bobot hidup kambing Jawarandu jantan serta mengkaji apakah ukuran linier tubuh (PB, LD, TP PPh, LPh) dapat digunakan untuk menduga bobot hidup kambing Jawarandu jantan. Materi yang digunakanyaitu 70 ekor kambing Jawarandu jantan umur1 tahunberdasarkan purposive sampling. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode survey. Variabel yang diukur yaitu ukuran linier tubuh meliputi panjang badan, lingkar dada, tinggi pundak, panjang paha, lingkar paha, dan bobot hidup. Panjang badan kambing Jawarandu jantan rata - rata  53,4 ± 3,9 cm, lingkar dada 75,2 ± 3,0 cm, tinggi pundak 73,0  ± 5,0 cm, panjang paha 24,9 ± 2,5 cm, dan lingkar paha 23,9 ± 2,4 cm. dan bobot hidup rata-rata 30,3 ± 4,4 kg. Analisis variansi menunjukan ukuran linier tubuh berpengaruh sangat nyata (P<0,05) terhadap bobothidup., Hasil korelasi menunjukkan ukuran linier tubuh yaitu panjang badan, lingkar dada dan tinggi pundak memiliki hubungan erat dengan bobot hidup dengan nilai korelasi 0,456, 0,659 dan 0,529. Hasiluji t parsial menunjukkan panjang paha dan lingkar paha tidak berpengaruh terhadap bobot hidup. Persamaan regresi baru yaitu Y = -53,695 + 0,220PB + 0,710LD + 0,258TP dapat dijadikan garis penduga untuk menduga bobot hidup kambing Jawarandu jantan umur 1 tahun. Ukuran linier tubuh yang paling berpengaruh untuk menduga bobot hidup kambing Jawarandu yaitu lingkar dada. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu ukuran linier tubuh sangat berpengaruh nyata terhadap bobot hidup kambing Jawarandu jantan umur 1 tahun. Ukuran linier tubuh yang paling mempengaruhi bobot hidup kambing Jawarandu jantan umur 1 tahun berdasarkan korelasinya yaitu panjang badan, lingkar dada dan tinggi pundak. Ukuran linier tubuh (PB, LD, dan TP) dapat digunakan untuk menduga bobo hidup kambing Jawarandu jantan umur 1 tahun dengan persamaan regresi Y = -53,695 + 0,220PB+ 0,710LD + 0,258TP dengan R2 = 56%.

The research aimed to determine the linear size of the body (PB, LD, TP, PPh, LPh) and live weight of Jawarandu buck and to study whether the linear body size (PB, LD, TP PPh, LPh) can be used to estimate the live weight of  Jawarandu buck. The material used was 70 heads Jawarandu buck age 1 year based on purposive sampling. The research method used was survey method. The measured variables were linear body size including body length, chest circumference, shoulder height, thigh length, thigh circumference, and live weight. Jawarandu buck average length 53.4 ± 3.9 cm, chest circumference 75.2 ± 3.0 cm, shoulder height 73.0 ± 5.0 cm, thigh length 24.9 ± 2.5 cm, and thighs 23.9 ± 2.4 cm. And average live weight 30.3 ± 4.4 kg. The analysis of variance showed that the linear size of the body had a very significant effect (P <0.05) on the live weight. The correlation result showed that the linear body size, body length, chest circumference and shoulder height had close relation with live weight with correlation value 0,456, 0,659 and 0,529 . Partial t test results showed the length of the thighs and thighs did not affect the live weight. The new regression equation was Y = -53,695 + 0,220PB + 0,710LD + 0,258TP could be used as the predictor line to estimate the life weight of goat Jawarandu buck. The most influential linear body size to estimate Jawarandu goat's life weight was chest circumference. The conclusion of this research that the linear size of the body was very significant effect on the life weight of goats Jawarandu buck. The linear size of the body that most affect the life weight of goats Jawarandu buck based on the correlation of body length, chest circumference and shoulder height. The linear body size (PB, LD, and TP) could be used to estimate the life weight of Jawarandu buck with regression equation Y = -53,695 + 0,220PB + 0,710LD + 0,258TP with R2 = 56%.
