RINGKASAN

Skripsi ini berjudul Cintaku di Kampus Biru Karya Ashadi Siregar: Transformasi dari novel ke film (Analisis Ekranisasi); yang meneliti tentang perubahan bentuk dari sebuah novel ke bentuk film. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan proses ekranisasi alur, tokoh, dan latar, baik dalam bentuk kategorisasi aspek penciutan, penambahan, maupun perubahan bervariasi dalam ekranisasi novel ke bentuk film Cintaku di Kampus Biru.
Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif analisis. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah novel Cintaku di Kampus Biru karya Ashadi Siregar dan film Cintaku di Kampus Biru yang disutradarai Ami Prijono. Fokus penelitian berupa proses ekranisasi alur, tokoh, dan latar. Data diperoleh dengan teknik membaca, teknik menonton, dan teknik mencatat.
Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa dari 127 data novel, terjadi 61 penciutan, 61 penambahan, dan 27 perubahan bervariasi sebagai hasil proses ekranisasi dari transformasi novel ke filmnya. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa proses transformasi dari novel ke dalam film terjadi karena adanya perubahan bentuk dari bentuk verbal menjadi bentuk gambar bergerak yang berdampak pada perubahan aspek-aspek novelnya. Untuk membuat cerita yang berkesinambungan dan tidak rancu karena adanya penciutan, diperlukan adanya penambahan pada proses ekranisasi. Hasil-hasil dari proses ekranisasi antara lain berupa penghilangan tokoh, perubahan alur, dan perbedaan latar. 
Dengan demikian, kecenderungan mengadaptasi novel ke dalam sinema mengalami peningkatan intensitas. Namun kecenderungan membuat film yang berdasarkan novel tersebut hanya berdasar pada permintaan pasar semata sehingga tidak memperhatikan kualitas.

SUMMARY

The study entitled Cintaku di Kampus Biru written by Ashadi Siregar: A transformation of a novel to a movie (an ecranisation analysis) discusses the transformation changes from a novel to movie. The purpose of this research is to describe the ecranisation processeson plots, characters, and settings either in the aspect categorization forms of reductions, additions, or variation changes from a novel to a movie ecranisation of Cintaku di Kampus Biru.
This research employs a descriptive analytical method. The research data sources are taken from a novel written by Ashadi Siregar and a movie directed by Ami Prijono which both is entitled Cintaku di Kampus Biru. The research focuses on the ecranisation processes of plots, characters, and settings. The data are collected through reading, watching, and recording techniques.
The finding of this research showed that from 127 novel’s data, 61 reductions, 61 additions, and 27 varied changes happened as a result of ecranisation process of the transformation form novel into movie. The conclusion of this research is the transformation process of novel into movie happens because the verbal form changes and becomes a moving picture’s form. An addition should be done in order to make the story continuous and not messed up because a reduction. The result of the ecranisation process include removal of the character, changes of the plot, and difference of the setting.
Thus, the adaption of a novel into a movie tends to experience increase in intensity. Although the tendency to make a movie based on a novel is merely related to the market demands without considering to the quality.
