Jumlah penduduk Indonesia berdasarkan sensus penduduk tahun 2010 silam menunjukkan bahwa jumlah penduduk usia remaja mencapai 43,55 juta (18.33%)  yang berada pada umur 10-19 tahun. Sedangkan di Kabupaten Banyumas jumlah penduduk usia remaja berdasarkan Banyumas Dalam Angka mencapai 261.760 (16,10%) jiwa dari keseluruhan penduduk di Kabupaten Banyumas. Berdasarkan data dari Pengadilan Agama Purwokerto menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 113 pemberian surat dispensasi nikah pada tahun 2015. Surat dispensasi nikah hanya diberikan pada mereka yang belum memiliki cukup umur sesuai undang-undang perkawinan, tetapi akan melangsungkan penikahan, dikarenakan pihak dari perempuan telah hamil terlebih dahulu. Berangkat dari kenyataan tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi remaja SMA di Purwokerto mengenai seks pra nikah. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan model analisis interaktif. Data dianalisis melalui tiga langkah yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Validasi data dilakukan dengan teknik triangulasi sumber. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi remaja SMA di Purwokerto mengenai seks pra nikah beragam antara remaja satu dengan remaja lainnya. Ada remaja yang menganggap bahwa seks pra nikah hanya sebatas hubungan intim saja dan ada yang menganggap bahwa aktivitas seksual seperti berciuman, petting, necking, termasuk dalam seks pra nikah. Selain itu, mengenai penyebab terjadinya seks pra nikah juga beragam mulai dari kemajuan teknologi, hingga pengawasan orang tua yang kurang ketat, dan kurangnya komunikasi anak dan orang tua. Sementara itu remaja memiliki upaya tersendiri agar terhindar dari seks pra nikah, mulai dari memperkuat iman, dan memilih lingkungan pertemanan, hingga perlunya pendidikan seks sejak dini. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah segala pihak ikut berperan dalam membentuk persepsi dari remaja mengenai permasalahan seks terutama dari lingkungan keluarga, sehingga remaja dapat memahami secara benar dalam hal permasalahan seksual dan dapat menempatkan seks pada tempat yang seharusnya.

The population of Indonesia according to 2010 population census showed that Indonesian young population (10-19 years) reaching 43.55 million (18.33%). While at the level of Central Java, especially Banyumas Regency, the young population based on statistics of Banyumas Regency reaching 261,760 16.10 (%) from the total population of Banyumas Regency. Adolescence is a transitional period where teenagers want to try many new things that they encounter. One of the problem among teenagers is sex. Nowdays, Premarital sex or sex before marriage need to be concern by the community. It is because this phenomenon occurred among students that belong to the adolescent age group. According to Purwokerto’s religious court, there were 113 petition marriage dispensations on 2015. Petition for marriage dispensations is only given for those who do not yet have enough age appropriate based on marriage laws, but they still want to marriage. It is because the girl have become pregnant first. The act of having sex before marriage is certainly not out of the perception shared by teens about premarital sex. Due to the fact, this research aims to know the perception of the teenager or high school students in Purwokerto toward premarital sex. This research used descriptive qualitative interactive analysis model. There were three steps of data analysis; data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusion. While the data validation is performed with the technique of triangulation of sources.
The results shows that the perception of teen high school in Purwokerto to ward premarital sex marriage diverse and different from one teenager to the other teenagers. First, there are teenagers who consider that premarital sex marriage only as an intimate relationship or intercourse. Furthermore, there are teenagers who consider that sexual activities such as kissing, petting, necking and others already included into premarital sex marriage, so they decide not to do sexual activity. In addition, the method to avoid from pre-marital sex is also diverse. Therefore the attention is the perception of teenagers which is formed from the environment of the game or the community than from the teenager's family environment. The implications of this research is all people should be contributed in creating teenager’s perceptions related to sex issues, especially in the family environment. Therefore, the teenagers can understand correctly related to sexual problems, later they can put sex at the place it should be.
