Depresi memiliki kontribusi sebagai faktor memperberat dan mempengaruhi suatu penyakit. Hasil penelitian The World Mental Health Survey, diantara lebih dari 85.000 orang dewasa yang mengalami depresi, 42.697 merupakan penderita diabetes. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji hubungan antara tingkat depresi dengan kadar glukosa darah sewaktu pada pasien diabetes mellitus tipe 2 di klinik penyakit dalam RSUD Prof. dr. Margono Soekarjo. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian observasional analitik dengan pendektan cross sectional. Populasi penelitian ini adalah pasien diabetes melitus tipe 2 yang rawat jalan di klinik penyakti dalam RSUD Prof. dr. Margono Soekarjo. Variabel bebas pada penelitian ini adalah tingkat depesi yang diukur dengan kuesioner BDI (Beck’s Depression Inventory). Variabel terikat adalah kadar glukosa darah sewaktu pasien diabetes melitus tipe 2 yang diambil dari rekam medik pasien diabetes melitus tipe 2 diklinik penyakit dalam. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan metode Consecutive Sampling sebanyak 62 orang. Analisis univariat digunakan untuk menggambarkan distribusi frekuensi dan prsentase karakteristik subjek penelitian dan analisis bivariat dilakukan dengan cara uji korelasi spearman. Pada hasil penelitian ditemukan proposi pasien diabetes melitus tipe 2 yang mengalami depresi adalah sebesar 88,7%, dengan rincian tidak depresi sebesar 11,3%, depresi ringan 19,4%, depresi sedang 54,8%, dan depresi berat 14,5%. Kadar glukosa darah sewaktu pada pasien diabetes melitus tipe 2 paling banyak GDS buruk 59,7%. Analisis antar variabel dilakukan dengan uji Spearman yang menunjukkan nilai korelasi sebesar 0,325 dan nilai p=0,01. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara tingkat depresi dengan kadar glukosa darah sewaktu pada pasien diabetes melitus tipe 2 di RSUD Prof. dr. Margono Soekarjo.

Depression affects and contributes heavily to an illness. Research result from The World Mental Health Survey states that from more than 85.000 adults with depressions, 42.697 of them are diabetic. The purpose of this research is to study the correlation between the level of depression and the amount of capillary blood glucose in diabetes mellitus type 2 patients from the internist clinic at RSUD Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo. This research is an analytic observational research with a cross sectional approach. The population of this research is diabetes mellitus type 2 outpatients from the internist clinic at RSUD Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo. The independent variable in this research is the level of depression that was measured by the BDI (Beck’s Depression Inventory) questionnaire. The dependent variable is the amount of capillary blood glucose in diabetes mellitus type 2 patients taken from the medical records of diabetes mellitus type 2 patients from the internist clinic. Sample was taken from 62 people with the Consecutive Sampling methods. Univariate analysis was used to describe the frequency of the distribution and the characteristic percentage of the research subject while bivariate analysis was done using the Spearman correlation test. The research found that the proportion of diabetes mellitus type 2 patients with depression is 88,7%, with 19,4% with light depression, 54,8% with mild depression, and 14,5% with heavy depression while 11,3% is not depressed. The highest amount of capillary blood glucose in a diabetes mellitus type 2 patients was observed at 59,7% CBG (Capillary Blood Glucose). Analysis between variables done with the Spearman test showed the correlation number as 0,325 and the p value as 0,01. From the research results it can be concluded that there is a correlation between the level of depression and the amount of capillary blood glucose in diabetes mellitus type 2 patients at RSUD Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo.
