Penelitian ini menganalisis nilai didaktis yang terdapat dalam dongeng Chiru Chiru Michiru karya Yamamura Bocho. Sumber data pada dongeng ini terdiri dari lima cerita yaitu Umi no Hanashi ‘Kisah tentang Laut’, Mada Ikiteiru Suzuki ‘Ikan Suzuki yang Masih Hidup’, Saya no Naka no Mame ‘Kacang dalam Kulit’, Hato wa Kotaeta ‘Merpati Menjawab’, dan Kuchigenka ‘Adu Mulut’. Nilai didaktis yaitu suatu nilai yang bersifat mendidik dan memberikan tuntunan serta dapat membentuk suatu karakter bagi para pembaca. Di dalam nilai didaktis terdapat aspek berupa aspek religi, aspek moral, dan aspek sosial yang terkandung pada dongeng tersebut. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mendeskripsikan nilai didaktis dengan menganalisis unsur intrinsik dalam dongeng Chiru Chiru Michiru karya Yamamura Bocho. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah studi kepustakaan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, di dalam dongeng Chiru Chiru Michiru karya Yamamura Bocho terdapat nilai didaktis berupa nilai religi, nilai moral, serta nilai sosial berjumlah 19 data berupa narasi dan dialog. Dari hasil penelitian, nilai didaktis yang lebih banyak muncul dalam dongeng tersebut adalah nilai moral berupa kasih sayang terhadap orang tua, sikap bakti dan patuh kepada orang tua, keikhlasan, menyayangi antar sesama, bijak, nilai kesopanan, sabar serta rendah hati yang terdapat pada kelima cerita dongeng Chiru Chiru Michiru karya Yamamura Bocho. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa dongeng ini layak dinikmati anak-anak hingga kalangan dewasa.

This research analyzes the didactic value contained in the fable of Chiru Chiru Michiru created by Yamamura Bocho. Source of data in this tale contains five stories which are Umi no Hanashi 'Tale of the Sea', Mada Ikiteiru Suzuki 'Suzuki Fish Still Life', Saya no Naka no Mame 'Peanuts in the Skin, Hato wa Kotaeta 'Pigeons Answering', and Kuchigenka 'Debate'. Didactic value is a value that are educate and provide guidance and avaliable to form a character for the readers. In the didactic value, there are aspects such as aspects of religious, moral aspects and social aspects contained in these tales. The purpose of this research is to describe a didactic value by analyzing the intrinsic elements in the tale of Chiru Chiru Michiru created by Yamamura Bocho. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The data collection technique used was the study of literature. Based on the analysis, in the tale of Chiru Chiru Michiru created by Yamamura Bocho, there are 19 data of didactic value in the form of religious values, moral values, and social values  in the form of narrative and dialogue. From the research, the value of didactic more appear in these tales are moral values such as affection towards parents, the attitude of devotion and obedience to parents, sincerity, love between fellow, wise, the value of politeness, patience and humility contained in the five tales in Chiru Chiru Michiru’s tale by Yamamura Bocho. This suggests that this tale worthy enjoyed by children to adults.
