Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) memahami signifikansi Occupy Central with Love and Peace dalam perjuangan hak suara; 2) menjelaskan bentuk dan strategi gerakan Occupy Central with Love and Peace dalam perjuangan hak suara rakyat di Hong Kong tahun 2014. Penelitian ini dilandasi oleh perspektif pascastrukturalis dan paradigma konstruktivisme. Dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dan pendekatan hermeneutika, data diperoleh dengan menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data library research yakni pengumpulan data secara pustaka. 
Occupy Central with Love and Peace (OCLP) adalah gerakan sosial politik yang mengkampanyekan pemberlakukan universal suffrage di Hong Kong dalam pemilihan chief executive tahun 2017. Dalam usaha mencapai tujuannya, OCLP memiliki tiga strategi, yaitu 1) perundingan atau musyawarah; 2) referendum sipil; dan 3) pembangkangan sipil. OCLP mendapat dukungan secara langsung dari mahasiswa dan pelajar, serta warga Hong Kong yang berada di luar Hong Kong. Sistem pemerintahan Hong Kong yang masih berada di bawah Pemerintah Tiongkok menjadi hambatan utama yang menjadi penghalang OCLP dalam mencapai tujuan. Selain itu juga, kemunculan kelompok oposisi dan terfragmentasinya massa karena permasalahan internal yang menjadi penghambatnya. Sampai dengan berakhirnya aksi occupy, OCLP belum mendapatkan tuntutannya, yaitu pemilihan chief executive tahun 2017 berdasarkan universal suffrage.
Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa keberhasilan OCLP hanya sebatas pada kebangkitan masyarakat sipil dan belum pada tataran perubahan sistem pemerintahan dan politik di Hong Kong.  Keberhasilan OCLP tercermin dengan terkumpulnya 792.800 suara rakyat Hong Kong yang memberikan dukungannya untuk reformasi sistem pemilihan melalui referendum sipil.

This research aiming certain points such: 1) to understanding the significance of Occupy Central with Love and Peace to fight for the voting rights; 2) To explaining a form and strategy of Occupy Central with Love and Peace movement in order to fight for the voting rights of people of Hong Kong in 2014. This research is using post-structuralist, and constructivist paradigm. The method that will be used on this research are qualitative methods and hermeneutics approach, datas can be obtained by using library research is that the data can be obtained from book and literatures. 
Occupy Central with Love and Peace (OCLP) is a social-politic movement which campaign about the implementatin of universal suffrage on Hong Kong's chief executive election in 2017. In the order to achieve what they aim, OCLP has three strategies, they are: 1) negotiation and deliberation; 2) civic referrendum; and 3) civil disobedience. OCLP got the support dirrectly from universities student and the youth, and Hong Kong citizen who lives outside the area. Hong Kong government system is directly under Chinese government which has been a main obstacles for OCLP to achieve their goal. Beside, there are oposition group and fragmented group that caused by internal problem which has been an extra obstacle for OCLP. Until the ending of occupy, OCLP has not yet achieved what has been demanded to government, is that chief executive election in 2017 based on universal suffrage.
The result of this research shows that the success of the OCLP limited only on the rise of civil society and not in the level of changing government and political system in Hong Kong. This succession of OCLP can be seen based on 792.800 voices gathered from Hong Kong civilization to reform on election system through civil refferendum.
