HUBUNGAN ANTARA TRIAGE DENGAN LENGTH OF STAY (LOS)
DI IGD RSUD AJIBARANG

ABSTRAK

Latar Belakang: Instalasi Gawat Darurat (IGD) merupakan unit terdepan dari rumah sakit yang menangani pasien dengan kegawatdaruratan. Over crowding di IGD menyebabkan penumpukan jumlah pasien sehingga waktu tunggu pasien menjadi panjang. Salah satu hal faktor yang mempengaruhi lamanya waktu pasien di IGD yaitu triage.
Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara triage dengan length of stay (LOS) di IGD RSUD Ajibarang.
Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode observasional dengan desain cross sectional. Teknik pengambilan sampling menggunakan quota sampling dengan jumlah sample 258 responden. Pengambilan data menggunakan lembar observasi yang dianalisis menggunakan uji chi square.
Hasil: Responden penelitian dengan true emergency lebih banyak daripada false emergency. True emergency sebanyak 136 responden (52,7%) dan false emergency sebanyak 122 responden (47,3%). Responden penelitian dengan LOS kurang dari 2 jam lebih banyak daripada LOS lebih dari 2 jam. LOS kurang dari 2 jam sebanyak 142 responden (55%) dan LOS lebih 2 jam sebanyak 116 responden (45%). Hasil analisis menggunakan chi square menunjukan nilai p = 0,002 dan nilai r = 0,186, berarti bahwa terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara triage dengan length of stay (LOS) di IGD RSUD Ajibarang.
Kesimpulan: Triage yang sesuai prosedur dapat menurunkan length of stay (LOS) di IGD RSUD Ajibarang.

ABSTRACT

Background: Emergency department is the front unit of hospital that give emergency treatment. Emergency department over crowding caused  accumulation of patients so there is patients length of stay. One of factors that influences emergency patients length of stay is triage.
Objective: The aim of this research is to identify the relationship between triage with length of stay (LOS) in the emergency department of Ajibarang General Hospital.
Methods: The research used observational method with cross sectional design. Sampling technique used quota sampling with 258 responden. Data collection used observation sheet that was analyse with chi square test.
Results: The research respondens with true emergency is more than the research respondens with false emergency. True emergency is 136 respondens (52,7%) and false emergency is 122 respondens (47,3%). The research respondens with LOS less than 2 hours is more than LOS more than 2 hours. LOS less than 2 hours is 142 respondens (55%) and LOS more than 2 hours is 116 respondens (45%). The result analysis of chi square show that p value = 0,002 and r value = 0,186. It means that there is relationship between triage and length of stay in the Emergency Instalation Unit of Local General Hospital of Ajibarang.
Conclusion: Triage with true procedures can decrease length of stay (LOS) in the Emergency Instalation Unit of Local General Hospital of Ajibarang.
