Cicak (famili Gekkonidae) merupakan reptil terestrial yang biasa menempel dan merayap pada dinding atau pepohonan, terbagi ke dalam 5 subfamilia cicak yaitu, Aeluroscalabotinae, Eublepharinae, Teratoscincinae, Diplodactylinae dan Gekkoninae. Gekkoninae merupakan cicak yang memiliki habitat di dalam rumah. Terdiri dari 4 genera cicak Gekkoninae yaitu, Cosymbotus, Hemidactylus, Gehyra, dan Crytodactylus. Cicak mampu terserang ektoparasit seperti tungau. Tungau Geckobia merupakan ektoparasit bagi reptil terestrial seperti cicak. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui keragaman tungau ektoparasit yang terdapat pada tubuh cicak subfamili Gekkoninae. Manfaat dari penelitian ini adalah memberikan informasi mengenai keragaman tungau ektoparasit dan jenis tungau ektoparasit pada cicak subfamili Gekkoninae di Eks Kotatip Purwokerto Banyumas Jawa Tengah serta sebagai bahan acuan untuk penelitian selanjutnya.  
Metode penelitian ini menggunakan survey dengan teknik pengambilan Purposive Random sampling. Jumlah sampel yang akan diteliti menggunakan metode lemeshow 1/λ.2 dengan tingkat kesalahan 20% sehingga memperoleh 25 individu cicak tiap kecamatan dengan total sebanyak 100 sampel dari empat kecamatan. Variabel bebas meliputi jenis cicak yang didapatkan dan variabel terikat meliputi keragaman tungau yang di dapat sedangkan untuk parameter yang diamatinya adalah jumlah total seluruh individu dan jenis tungau yang didapat. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan indeks shannon-wiener untuk mengetahui keragaman tungau ektoparasit, dan indeks shannon-evennes untuk mengetahui kemerataan persebaran tungau. 
Terindentifikasi 2 jenis cicak yaitu Hemidactylus frenatus dan Hemidactylus platyurus, terdapat 59 individu cicak terinfestasi dari 100 sampel, 254 tungau ektoparasit ditemukan dari 59 cicak terinfestasi. Seluruh tungau ditemukan masuk dalam Famili Pterygosomatidae Genus Geckobia. Nilai keragaman yang didapat 1,744 untuk tungau yang menginfestasi H.frenatus dan 3,237 untuk tungau yang menginfestasi H.platyurus. Kemerataan tungau pada kedua jenis cicak ini adalah mengelompok.

Gecko (family Gekkonidae) is a terrestrial reptiles that common cling and crawl over the walls or trees, divided into 5 subfamilies gecko that are, Aeluroscalabotinae, Eublepharinae, Teratoscincinae, Diplodactylinae and Gekkoninae. Gekkoninae is a gecko that has habitat in the house. Consist of 4 genera of Gekkoninae that are Cosymbotus, Hemidactylus, Gehyra, and Crytodactylus. Gecko is able attacked by ectoparasites such as mites. Geckobia mites are ectoparasites for terrestrial reptiles like gecko. The aim of this study was to determine the diversity of mites ectoparasites that found in the gecko's body Gekkoninae subfamily. The benefits of this research are to provide information about diversity of mites ectoparasites and types of mites ectoparasites on gecko subfamily Gekkoninae in Ex-Kotatip Purwokerto, Banyumas, Central Java, and as reference for the future research. This research method used survey with purposive random sampling technique. The number of samples to be studied using lemeshow 1/λ.2 with an error rate of 20% that obtain 25 individuals gecko for each district and a total of 100 samples from the four districts. The independent variable include of type of gecko that obtained and the dependent variable include of diversity of mites that obtained whereas the parameter observed is total number of all individual and types of mites that obtained. Data analysis in this study using shannon-wiener index to determine diversity of mites ectoparasites, and shannon-evenness index to determine the distribution evenness of mites. Identified two species of gecko’s that are Hemidactylus frenatus and Hemidactylus platyurus, there are 59 individuals gecko infested of 100 samples, 254 mites ectoparasites found on 59 gecko’s infested. All of mites are found included in Pterygosomatidae Family, Geckobia Genus. The value of diversity obtained 1,744 for mites that infest H.frenatus and 3,237 for the mites that infest H.platyurus. Evenness mites on both types of lizards are clumped.
