KAJIAN MODEL PERTUMBUHAN TUMOR MENGGUNAKAN MODEL PERTUMBUHAN RICHARD DAN MODEL GOMPERTZ

Pada makalah ini dikaji model pertumbuhan volume sel tumor menggunakan model pertumbuhan Richard dan model Gompertz. Karakteristik Model pertumbuhan Richard ditandai oleh adanya sebuah parameter khusus. Melalui parameter ini, model pertumbuhan Richard lebih fleksibel dalam memprediksi petumbuhan volume sel tumor. Jika model pertumbuhan Richard merupakan perumuman model populasi maka model Gompertz merupakan kasus khusus dari model pertumbuhan Richard. Keterkaitan antara model pertumbuhan Richard dan model Gompertz terletak pada nilai parameter ini. Semakin kecil nilai parameter ini, maka model pertumbuhan Richard semakin mendekati model Gompertz sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa model Gompertz diperoleh dari model pertumbuhan Richard dengan mengubah nilai parameter tersebut menuju nol.

In this article, tumor’s growth model with Richard growth model and Gompertz model are discussed. The characteristic of Richard growth model can be seen from the existence of a special parameter. By this parameter Richard growth model is more flexible to predict tumor growth. If Richard growth model is a generalization of population growth model, then Gompertz model is a special case from Richard growth model. Relationship between Richard growth model and Gompertz model can be seen in this value. The smaller parameter then Richard growth model similar to Gompertz model so it can be concluded that Gompertz model is obtained from Richard growth model by changing that parameter value toward zero.
