Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui 1) varietas yang memberikan respon terbaik pada pemberian pupuk organik cair, 2) jenis pupuk organik cair yang terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman melon, 3) kombinasi perlakuan yang terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman melon. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di lahan yang berlokasi di Desa Somagede, Kecamatan Somagede, Kabupaten Banyumas pada Juli-Oktober 2016. Penelitian ini menggunakan RAKL (Rancangan Acak Kelompok Lengkap) dengan dua faktor perlakuan yaitu varietas (Silver Light, Aramis dan Glamour) dan jenis pupuk organik cair (D.I. Grow, Organox, dan NASA serta kontrol) sehingga terdapat 12 kombinasi perlakuan. Variabel yang diamati yaitu panjang tanaman, jumlah daun, luas daun, kandungan klorofil, jumlah bunga, jumlah bunga rontok, bobot buah, diameter buah, dan kemanisan. Data dianalisis ragam, apabila hasil uji berbeda nyata dilanjutkan dengan uji DMRT pada taraf kesalahan 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 1) Varietas yang memberikan respon terbaik adalah melon varietas Glamour (V3) dengan panjang tanaman 236,38 cm, kandungan klorofil 50,88 unit, jumlah bunga 33,33 bunga, jumlah bunga rontok 7,58 bunga, bobot buah 1,46 kg, dan diameter buah 14,61 cm, 2) Pemberian pupuk organik cair tidak meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman melon apabila dibandingkan dengan kontrol, 3) Kombinasi antara varietas dan pupuk organik cair tidak meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman melon.

This research aimed to  know 1) the variety that gives the best response to the liquid organic fertilizers, 2) the best type of organic liquid fertilizer on the growth and yield of melon, 3) the best treatment combination on the growth and yield of melon. This research was conducted in land located in Somagede village, Somagede District, Banyumas, from Juli to October 2016. This research used RCBD (Randomized Completely Block Design) with two factors, that treatment : varieties (Silver Light, Aramis, and Glamour) and liquid organic fertilizers (D.I. Grow, Organox, NASA, and without liquid organic fertilizer or control), so there was 12 combinations of treatments. The variebles observed were length of plants,number of leaves, leaf area, chlorophyll content, total flower, number of fall flowers, fruit weight, fruit diameter, and sweetness. Data were analyzed with variance, if there were variations,it was followed by DMRT at the level of 5% error. The result showed that 1) the varieties that gave the best response was Glamour (V3) varietis with length of plants 236,38 cm, chlorophyll content of 50,88 units, total flowers 33,33 flowers, number of fall flowers 7,58 flowers, fruit weight 1,46 kg, and fruit diameter 14.61 cm, 2) liquid organic fertilizer did not improve the growth and yield of melon when compared with controls, 3) The combination of variety and liquid organic fertilizers did not improve plant growth and yield of melon.
