Desa Serang merupakan salah satu daerah penghasil kubis di Kecamatan Karangreja, Kabupaten Purbalingga. Keberhasilan proses produksi dapat diukur melalui tingkat efisiensi yang dicapai, yaitu efisiensi teknis, efisiensi harga maupun efisiensi ekonomi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk : 1) Menghitung besarnya biaya dan pendapatan dari usahatani kubis, 2) Menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan faktor produksi usahatani kubis, 3) Menganalisis efisiensi ekonomi penggunaan faktor-faktor produksi pada usahatani kubis. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Desa Serang Kecamatan Karangreja Kabupaten Purbalingga pada bulan April sampai Juni 2016. Metode sampling yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah simple random sampling dan diperoleh jumlah responden sebanyak 38 petani kubis. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah : 1) Analisis biaya dan pendapatan usahatani, 2) Analisis fungsi Cobb Douglas, 3) Analisis efisiensi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa : 1) Rata–rata biaya usahatani kubis di Desa Serang sebesar Rp24.891.771,00 per hektar, dan rata-rata pendapatan bersih usahatani kubis sebesar Rp38.687.306,00 per hektar, 2) Faktor produksi yang berpengaruh secara nyata terhadap produksi pada usahatani kubis di Desa Serang adalah luas lahan dan benih. Sedangkan faktor produksi pupuk organik, pupuk anorganik, pestisida dan tenaga kerja berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap produksi pada usahatani kubis, 3) Petani kubis di Desa Serang dalam mengombinasikan faktor produksi belum mencapai efisiensi secara ekonomi.

Serang village is one of the regions that produces cabbage in  Karangreja Subdistrict, Purbalingga Regency. The success of the production process can be measured by the level of achieved efficiency is technical efficiency, price efficiency and economic efficiency. The research aimed to: 1) calculate the cost and income from cabbage farming, 2) analyze the effect of the use of production factors in cabbage farming, and 3) analyze the economic efficiency of use of production factors on a cabbage farming. The experiment was conducted in Serang Village, Karangreja Subdistrict, Purbalingga Regency from April to June 2016. The sampling method of research that was used was simple random sampling, and the researcher obtained 38 cabbage farmers. Analysis method which used was: 1) analysis of the costs and farming income, 2) Cobb Douglas’s production function analysis, and 3) efficiency analysis. The results showed that: 1) the average cost of cabbage farming in Serang village was Rp24.891.771,00 per hectare, and the net income from cabbage farming for Rp38.687.306,00 per hectare, 2) production factors in the area of land and seeds, significantly affect production in cabbage farming Serang village, while the production factors are organic fertilizers, inorganic fertilizers, pesticides and labor, did not affect the production of cabbage farming, 3) cabbage farmers in Serang village who are combining factors of production, have not reached the economic efficiency yet.
