EKSPLORASI KUMBANG Coccinella sp. (FAMILI: Coccinellidae) DAN KEMAMPUAN PEMANGSAANNYA TERHADAP WERENG BATANG COKELAT (Nilaparvata lugens Stal.) DI KABUPATEN BANYUMAS

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) mengetahui populasi kumbang Coccinella sp., dan Wereng Batang Cokelat (WBC) serta intensitas seranganya di Kabupaten Banyumas 2) mengetahui tingkat predatisme kumbang Coccinella sp. terhadap WBC dan 3) mengetahui tingkat preferensi kumbang Coccinella sp. terhadap mangsa alternatif. Penelitian dilaksanakan di lima Kecamatan di Kabupaten Banyumas yaitu Kecamatan Kebasen, Cilongok, Kembaran, Jatilawang dan Sumpiuh serta Laboratorium Perlindungan Tanaman, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman, Purwokerto. Penelitian dilaksanakan dari bulan Nopember 2015 sampai Juni 2016. Penelitian dilaksanakan dalam 2 tahap. Tahap 1) Penelitian eksplorasi kumbang Coccinella sp. dan WBC yang dilakukan di lima kecamatan di wilayah Kabupaten Banyumas. Setiap kecamatan terdiri dari lima desa sampel. Sampel ditentukan dengan metode purposive random sampling. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan petak tersarang dengan 2 faktor yaitu kecamatan dan desa, Tahap 2) Penelitian eksperimental yang meliputi: a) uji predatisme kumbang Coccinella sp. terhadap nimfa dan imago WBC dengan kerapatan mangsa (10, 20 dan 30 individu). Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan 5 ulangan, b) uji preferensi kumbang Coccinella sp. terhadap 2 jenis mangsa yaitu Aphis craccivora dan Bemisia tabaci. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan 18 ulangan. Hasil penelitian eksplorasi menunjukkan populasi kumbang Coccinella sp. tertinggi yakni di Kecamatan Jatilawang sebesar 1,34 individu/rumpun. Populasi WBC tertinggi yakni di Kecamatan Kebasen sebesar 9,67 individu/rumpun. Tingkat predatisme kumbang Coccinella sp. terhadap WBC stadia imago sebesar 3,73 individu/24 jam lebih baik dibandingkan stadia nimfa sebesar 3,00 individu/24 jam. Tingkat predatisme kumbang Coccinella sp. terhadap WBC dengan kerapatan 30 individu sebesar 4,10 individu/24 jam lebih baik dibandingkan kerapatan 10 dan 20 individu sebesar 2,40 dan 3,60 individu/24 jam. Coccinella sp. menyukai Aphis craccivora dan Bemisia tabaci sebagai mangsa alternatif.

The objective of this experiments were 1) determine the population of Coccinella sp., beetle and Brown planthopper (BPH) as well as the intensity of its attacks in Banyumas 2) determine the level of predatisme beetle Coccinella sp. against the BPH and 3) determine the level of preference of the beetle Coccinella sp., beetle against alternative prey. The research was conducted in five districts in Banyumas that is Kebasen, Cilongok, Kembaran, Jatilawang and Sumpiuh districts and laboratory of Plant Protection, Jenderal Soedirman University, Purwokerto. The research was conducted from November 2015 to June 2016. The research was conducted in 2 phase. Phase 1) Research the exploration of the Coccinella sp., beetle and the BPH conducted in five Districts in Banyumas. Each district consists of five sample villages. The sample determined was purposive random sampling method. Research using nested design two factors is district and village, Phase 2) experimental Research that includes: a) predation test of Coccinella sp., beetle against nymph and imago the BPH with the density of prey (10, 20 and 30 individuals). Research using randomized block design (RBD) with five replications, b) preference test of the Coccinella sp., beetle against the 2 types of prey, namely Aphis craccivora and Bemisia tabaci. Research using randomized block design (RBD) with eighteen replications. The results of exploratory research showed Coccinella sp., beetle population highest in the district Jatilawang were 1,34 individuals/clump. BPH population highest in districts Kebasen were 9,67 individuals/clump. Predation level Coccinella sp., beetle against BPH imago phase were 3,07 individual/24 hours more than nimpha phase were 3,00 individual/24 hours. Predation level Coccinella sp., beetle against BPH with a density of 30 individual/24 hours were 4,10 individual/24 hours more than a density of 10 and 20 individual/24 hours were 2,40 and 3,60 individual/24 hours. Coccinella sp., beetle prefer Aphis craccivora and Bemisia tabaci as alternative prey.
