RINGKASAN

Penelitian ini berjudul :Analisis Faktor-Faktor yang Mempengaruhi Fertilitas di Kecamatan Purwokerto Utara Kabupaten Banyumas. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisa serta mengetahui seberapa besar rasio variabel usia suami, usia istri, pendidikan suami, pendidikan istri, usia nikah pertama istri dan pendapatan dapat mempengaruhi fertilitas. Metode pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah sampling acak (random) yang dibagi berdasarkan proporsi wilayah (7 desa). Penelitian ini mengambil sampel sebanyak 100 responden. Alat analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah regresi linier berganda dengan fertilitas sebagai variable dependen dan lima variable independen yaitu usia suami, usia istri, pendidikan suami, pendidikan istri, usia nikah pertama istri dan pendapatan.
Hasil penelitian dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa F hitungnya lebih besar dibandingkan dengan F table sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa keenam variable independen yaitu usia suami, usia istri, pendidikan suami, pendidikan istri, usia nikah pertama istri dan pendapatan secara bersama-sama berpengaruh signifikan terhadap fertilitas. Secara parsial usia suami, usia istri dan usia nikah pertama berpengaruh positif signifikan, sedangkan pendidikan suami, pendidikan istri dan pendapatan berpengaruh negatif signifikan. Dari keenam variable independen tersebut yang paling mempengaruhi terhadap fertilitas adalah variabel pendidikan istri dengan t hitungnya sebesar -3,043. Implikasi dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk menurunkan nilai fertilitas maka perlu ditingkatkannya pendidikan di masyarakat. Dengan pendidikan yang tinggi maka diharapkan akan meningkatnya kesadaran akan nilai kualitas anak bukan kuantitas anak, sehingga jumlah kelahiran dapat terkontrol.

SUMMARY

This research entitled: Analysis of Factors Affecting Fertility in the District of North Purwokerto, Banyumas Regency. The purpose of this study is to analyze and to know how big variable ratio husband age, the age of the wife, husband education, education wife, wife's first marriage age and income can affect fertility. The sampling method used is random sampling (random) divided by the proportion of the area (7 villages). This study took a sample of 100 respondents. The analytical tool used in this research is multiple linear regression with fertility as the dependent variable and the independent variables are age five husbands, wives age, education husband, wife education, age of first marriage wife and revenue.
The results of this research indicate that the F counted is greater than the F table so it can be concluded that the six independent variables are age husband, aged wife, education husband, education wife, age of marriage in the first wife and revenue together a significant effect on fertility. Partially age of husband, wife age and the age of first marriage is a significant positive effect, while education husband, wife education and income significantly negative influence. Of the six independent variables that most influence on fertility is the wife of the educational variables t counted at -3.043. The implication of this research is to reduce fertility the need to increase the value of education in the community. With higher education, it is expected to be an increased awareness of the value of the quality of the child is not the quantity of the child, so that the number of births can be controlled.
