Permasalahan eksploitasi dan penelantaran pada pekerja anak merupakan salah satu bentuk kejahatan yang harus diperhatikan saat ini karena sangat berdampak buruk terhadap perkembangan diri anak sehingga perlu dilakukan perlindungan secara menyeluruh dan berkesinambungan. Dinsosnakertrans Kabupaten Banyumas mempunyai peran yang sangat penting di dalam memberikan perlindungan terhadap pekerja anak, tetapi masyarkata selaku pengusaha/pemberi kerja masih kurang mengetahui dan memahami apa saja peran yang diberikan. Penelitian ini mengambil rumusan masalah sebagai berikut, 1.) Apakah peranan Dinsosnakertrans dalam perlindungan pekerja anak di Kabupaten Banyumas?, 2.) Bagaimana pelaksanaan perlidungan pekerja anak oleh di Dinsosnakertrans Kabupaten Banyumas?

Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian yuridis normatif dengan pendekatan perundang-undangan. Jenis data yang digunakan adalah data sekunder dan metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah studi kepustakaan yang mencakup peraturan tertulis, buku literatur hukum, jurnal penelitian hukum, sumber internet, media cetak serta wawancara. Data diuraikan dalam bentuk teks naratif. Metode analitis data yang digunakan adalah metode normatif kualitatif.
Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan, 1) Peranan Dinsosnakertrans Kabupaten Banyumas dalam memberikan perlindungan hukum terhadap pekerja anak dengan melalui program-program perlindungan yang dibuat oleh Dinsosnakertrans yang membagi menjadi dua yaitu peranan perlindungan pekerja anak formal dan pekerja anak nonformal. 2) Pelaksanaan perlindungan pekerja anak baik formal dan nonformal yang dilakukan oleh Dinsosnakertrans sesuai dengan peraturan-peraturan mengenai pekerja anak yang mendasari program tersebut.

The  problem of exploitation and abandonment  for the children labor is  one of the  crime form  that must be  concerned recently because  it gives the bad impact to the development of children itself so the children need to  be conducted the protection  entirely and  sustainability. Social Department  and Transmigration   in Regency of Banyumas  has very important  role  in giving  the protection  to the  children labor, but the society   as the  entrepreneur/job giver  still  has not  known  and understood  what is the  role  that is given. This research takes the problem formulation as following, 1.) Is the role of Social Department and Transmigration in protecting the children labor in Regency of Banyumas?2.) How is the implementation of children protection by Social Department and transmigration in Regency of Banyumas? 
	This research is the normative juridical research by using the Ordinance approach. Type of data uses the secondary data and method of data collection uses the literature study that involves the written rule, law li literature book, law research journal, internet source, printed media and interview. Data are explained in the form of narrative text.  Method of data analytical in this research uses the method of qualitative normative. 
	The result of this research concludes 1) The Role of Social Department  and Transmigration in Regency of Banyumas  in  giving  the law protection to the children labor through the protection program that is made by Social Department and Transmigration  that divides into  two  that   are  the  protection role of formal and non-formal children labor. 2) The implementation of children labor protection whether formal and non-formal children labor that is conducted by Social Department and Transmigration bases on the regulation about the children labor that becomes the foundation of this program.
