ABSTRAK
Latar Belakang: Prevalensi seumur hidup skizofrenia diperikirakan 1% di seluruh dunia. Di Indonesia, sekitar 99% pasien di Rumah Sakit Jiwa adalah orang dengan skizofrenia. Orang dengan skizofrenia memiliki risiko seumur hidup untuk bunuh diri sebanyak 5% dan celah kematian tersebut terus meningkat. Kegagalan berperan sesuai fungsinya sebagai pelajar, pekerja, pasangan, dan keluarga pada pasien skizofrenia menjadikan keluarga sebagai suatu peranan yang penting yang dapat mempengaruhi kualitas hidup pasien skizofrenia dimana kualitas hidup penderita dapat digunakan untuk mengambil keputusan yang berhubungan dengan nasib penderita terutama tindakan yang tepat bagi pasien. 		                   Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan fungsi keluarga dengan kualitas hidup pasien skizofrenia di RSUD Banyumas.	                   Metode: Desain penelitian ini adalah cross sectional. Subjek terdiri dari 53 pasien skizofrenia yang menjalani rawat inap di ruang Bima dan Arjuna serta pasien rawat jalan di Poliklinik Instalasi Pelayanan Kesehatan Jiwa Terpadu beserta keluarga. Metode pengambilan subjek adalah consecutive non probability sampling. 
Hasil: Responden yang memiliki fungsi keluarga sehat sebanyak 33 orang (62.3%), fungsi keluarga kurang sehat 18 orang (34.0%), dan fungsi keluarga tidak sehat 2 orang (3.8%). Responden yang memiliki kualitas hidup baik sebanyak 34 orang (64.2%), kualitas hidup cukup 8 orang (15.1%), dan kualitas hidup kurang 11 orang (20.8%). Nilai p=0.338 (p>0.05).
Kesimpulan: Tidak terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara fungsi keluarga dengan kualitas hidup pasien skizofrenia di RSUD Banyumas.

ABSTRACT
Background: The lifetime prevalence of schizophrenia estimated around 1% all over the world. In Indonesia, approximately 99% of patients in the Mental Hospital were a person with schizophrenia. People with schizophrenia had a lifetime risk of suicide as much as 5% and this mortality gap continues to increase. Failure acted according to its function as students, workers, couples, and families in schizophrenic patients made the family as an important role that could affected the quality of life of patients with schizophrenia in which this quality of life could be used to make decisions related to the fate of the patients, especially the exact thing to do for the patient.			                   	           Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation between family function and the quality of life of schizophrenia patients at RSUD Banyumas.						                                     Method: The design of this study was cross sectional. The subjects of this study concisted of 53 schizophrenia patients that hospitalized in Bima and Arjuna room and also the outpatients at Polyclinic of Psychology Health Care and their family. Subject retrieval method was consecutive non probability sampling.	        Result: Respondents who had a healthy family functions were 33 peoples (62.3%), less family function were 18 peoples (34.0%), and poor family function were 2 peoples (3.8%). Respondents who had a good quality of life were 34 peoples (64.2%), moderate quality of life were 8 peoples (15.1%), and less quality of life were 11 peoples (20.8%). p= 0.338 (p> 0.05).
Conclusion: There was no significant correlation between family function and quality of life of schizophrenia patients at RSUD Banyumas.
