GEOLOGI DAN GEOKIMIA AIR PANAS BUMI DAERAH CIPAKEM, KECAMATAN CINIRU, KABUPATEN KUNINGAN, JAWA BARAT

Daerah penelitian berada di desa Cipakem, Kecamatan Ciniru, Kabupaten Kuningan, Jawa Barat. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui kondisi geologi dan geokimia air panas bumi di daerah tersebut. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini diantaranya observasi lapangan, pemetaan geologi detail, dan analisis geokimia air panas bumi. Morfologi daerah penelitian termasuk kedalam perbuktian struktural. Satuan batuan yang ada di daerah penelitian yaitu Satuan Batulempung, Satuan Batupasir, Intrusi Basalt, dan Satuan Breksi Andesit. Struktur yang berkembang di daerah penelitian yaitu lipatan antiklin, sesar naik, sesar mendatar kiri, dan sesar mendatar kanan. Terdapat 3 manifestasi panas bumi yaitu BAP-HS 1 (62oC), BAP-HS 2 (41oC), dan BAP-KL 3 (51oC). Dari hasil analisis geokimia air panas bumi daerah penelitian didapat 2 tipe air yaitu air klorida dan air dilute chloride-bicarbonate. Air panas bumi yang berada di daerah penelitian berasal dari satu reservoir. Temperatur reservoir panas bumi daerah penelitian yaitu 151oC-163oC. Kedalaman reservoir panas bumi daerah penelitian yaitu 190-270 m di bawah permukaan. Sistem panas bumi daerah penelitian diinterpretasikan merupakan sistem dominan air dengan sistem terputar dan sistem tersimpan pada sistem low relief. Sumber panas pada sistem panas bumi ini berasal dari tekanan struktur geologi yang ada di daerah penelitian serta pembebanan batuan sedimen, batuan reservoir berupa batupasir, batuan penudung yaitu batupasir yang teralterasi, dan sesar mendatar kiri menjadi jalur air panas bumi keluar ke permukaan sebagai manifestasi. Berdasarkan perhitungan heat loss daerah penelitian memiliki potensi panasbumi sebesar 29.055 kW dan sumber daya spekulatif 290.55 kWe.

The research area is located in the Cipakem village, Ciniru subdistrict, Kuningan regency, West Java. This study was conducted to determine the condition of geology and geochemistry of geothermal water in the area. The method used in this study include observation, detailed geological mapping and geochemical analysis of geothermal water. Morphology research areas included into the hills structural. Lithologies in the research area there are Mudstone unit, Sandstone Unit, Basalt intrusion and Andesite Breccia unit. Developing structure in the study area there are fold anticline, reverse fault, left slip fault and right slip fault. There are three geothermal manifestations is BAP-HS 1 (62oC), BAP-HS 2 (41oC), and BAP-KL 3 (51oC). From the results of geochemical analysis geothermal water, research area obtained two types of water: chloride water and dilute chloride-bicarbonate water. Geothermal water in research area comes from the one reservoir. Temperature reservoir in research area is 151oC-163oC. the depth of geothermal reservoir in research area is 190-270 m in the subsurface. Geothermal system at the research area is included into water dominated system at the low relief system with the cycle and storage system. The heat source on geothermal system is derived from the pressure of the geological structure in this reasearch area and imposition of sedimentary rocks, reservoir rocks is Sandstone, caprock is Sandstone was altered into clay mineral, and left slip fault structure being a way out for geothermal water to the surface area as manifestation. Based on Heat loss calculation, geothermal potential in research area is 29.055 kW and speculative resource is 290.55 kWe
