UJI TOLERANSI GENOTIP PADI (Oryza sativa L.) TERHADAP CEKAMAN SUHU RENDAH PADA FASE PERKECAMBAHAN

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) Mengetahui tanggap beberapa genotip padi terhadap cekaman suhu rendah pada fase perkecambahan (2) mendapatkan genotip padi yang toleran terhadap suhu rendah berdasarkan seleksi pada fase perkecambahan. Faktor yang dicoba meliputi 2 varietas padi toleran terhadap cekaman suhu rendah, 2 varietas padi rentan cekaman suhu rendah dan 6 galur padi, dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok Lengkap (RAKL) tiga kali ulangan. Penelitian dilakukan di Desa Pandansari, Kecamatan Paguyangan, Kabupaten Brebes dari bulan April – Mei 2015. Variabel yang diamati terdiri atas: Jumlah kecambah yang tumbuh pada 7 hari pertama, Persentase perkecambahan, Tinggi tanaman, Bobot basah tanaman, Bobot kering tanaman, Kecepatan tumbuh. Hasil penelitian menunjukan jumlah kecambah tumbuh, presentase perkecambahan, bobot kering tanaman berbeda sangat nyata, sedangkan tinggi tanaman, bobot basah tanaman dan kecepatan tumbuh benih berbeda nyata.

The aim of this research is (1) Determine the responsiveness of the genotypes of rice to low temperature stress on germination phase (2) obtain genotypes of rice that is tolerant of low temperatures by the selection on germination phase. Factors to be tested include two rice varieties tolerant to low temperature stress, two rice varieties susceptible low temperature stress and 6 strains of rice, using a Complete randomized block design (CRBD) three replications. The study was conducted in the village of Pandansari, District Paguyangan, Brebes of the month from April to May 2015. Variables observed consisted of: Number of sprouts that grow in the first 7 days, percentage of germination, plant height, wet weight of plant, plant dry weight, growth rates. The results showed the number of sprouts grow, the percentage of germination, plant dry weight highly significant, while plant height, plant fresh weight and speed of the seed grow significantly different.
