FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI MOTIVASI BELAJAR PADA MAHASISWA ASAL MALUKU DI UNSOED

Latar Belakang: Motivasi belajar merupakan kekuatan daya penggerak didalam diri mahasiswa yang menimbulkan kegiatan belajar dan memberikan arah pada kegiatan belajar demi mencapai tujuan yang ditetapkan. Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi motivasi belajar mahasiswa asal Maluku dalam menjalani perkuliahan di Universitas Jenderal Soedirman Purwokerto. Metode: Desain penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah study cross sectional. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan total sampling dengan jumlah responden 45. Analisis data menggunakan uji chi square untuk bivariat dan regresi logistic untuk multivariat. Hasil: Mayoritas responden berjenis kelamin perempuan (53,3%), usia ≤20 tahun (68,9%), kuliah ≤4 tahun (73,3%), sumber dana asal beasiswa (80%), dan jurusan sesuai minat (57,8%). Gambaran faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi motivasi belajar menunjukkan mayoritas responden memiliki motivasi belajar, kondisi fisik, psikis, dan keluarga kurang dengan persentase (55,6%), (55,6%), (51,1%), (55,6%). Sedangkan kondisi lingkungan responden tergolong baik yaitu (51,1%). Hasil analisis jenis kelamin, usia, lama studi, dana asal dan jurusan sesuai minat diperoleh nilai p (0,688), (0,014), (0,024), (1,000), dan (0,036). Sedangkan untuk faktor-faktor meliputi kondisi fisik, psikis, keluarga, lingkungan diperoleh nilai p (0,000), (0,000), (0,013), dan (0,000). Hasil analisis multivariat diperoleh nilai OR=59,185, p=0.043. Kesimpulan: Motivasi belajar mahasiswa Unsoed asal Maluku dipengaruhi oleh faktor kondisi fisik, psikis, keluarga, dan lingkungan. Ditambah karakteristik responden usia, lama studi, dan jurusan sesuai minat. Sedangkan faktor yang paling dominan adalah kondisi psikis.

Background: Learning motivation is the driving force of students that raises learning activities and provides direction on learning activities to achieve the goals set. Objective: To determine the factors that affect learning motivation on students of Jenderal Soedirman University originated from Maluku. Method: The research design used in this research was cross sectional study. The sampling used total sampling with 45 respondents. Data analysis in this research used chi square test for bivariate and logistic regression for multivariate. Result: The majority of respondents were female (53.3%), aged ≤20 years old (68.9%), having lectures ≤4 years (73.3%), receiving scholarship fund (80%), and the major according to the interests (57.8%). The description of factors affecting learning motivation indicated that the majority of respondents had learning motivation, less physical, psychological and family condition with the percentage of (55.6%), (55.6%), (51.1%), (55.6%), respectively. While the environmental condition of respondents was good by (51.1%). The analysis results of gender, age, duration of study. The origin of funds and the majors according to the interest were obtained p value of (0.688), (0.014), (0.024), (1.000), and (0.036), respectively. While for factors including physical, psychological, family, and environmental conditions were obtained p value of (0.000), (0.000), (0.013), and (0.000), respectively. The result of multivariate analysis obtained OR value =59.185, p=0.043. Conclusion: Learning motivation of the students of Jenderal Soedirman University originated from Maluku was affected by the factors of physical, psychological, family, and environmental conditions. It was also affected by the respondents characteristics of age, duration of study, and the majors according to the interests, while the most dominant factor was psychological condition.
