Penelitian ini berjudul “Skala Ekonomi dan Efisiensi Penggunaan Faktor Produksi Pengerajin Perak (Studi Kasus: Asosiasi Senopati Kelurahan Purbayan, Kecamatan Kotagede Yogyakarta)”. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah Untuk mengetahui pengaruh bahan baku dan tenaga kerja secara bersama - sama dan parsial terhadap jumlah produksi kerajinan perak, untuk mengetahui skala ekonomi pengerajin perak, dan untuk mengetahui efisiensi penggunaan faktor-faktor produksi  perak di Asosiasi Senopati Kelurahan Purbayan, Kecamatan Kotagede Yogyakarta. Metode penelitian ini adalah survei dengan menggunakan simple random sampling dengan pertimbangan bahwa keadaan pengerajin perak relatif homogen. Sampel penelitian ini terdiri dari 46 pengerajin perak. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan wawancara berdasarkan kuesioner. Analisis dilakukan dengan menggunakan model fungsi produksi Cobb-Douglas yang ditransformasikan kedalam fungsi linier logaritma natural. Analisis data menggunakan Spss 17.0. Untuk mengetahui efisiensi penggunaan faktor produksi masing-masing faktor produksi dirumuskan secara matematis yaitu Efisiensi = NPM/P. 
Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa, 1) Bahan baku dan tenaga kerja baik secara bersama-sama maupun parsial berpengaruh signifikan terhadap jumlah produksi kerajinan perak. 2) Skala ekonomi pengerajin perak Asosiasi Senopati Kelurahan Purbayan Kecamatan Kotagede, Yogyakarta mengikuti kaidah increasing return to scale. 3) Efisiensi penggunaan faktor produksi pengerajin perak Asosiasi Senopati Kelurahan Purbayan Kecamatan Kotagede Yogyakarta belum efisien. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah 1) Pengerajin perlu memperhatikan ketersediaan faktor produksi bahan baku, serta memberikan pelatihan seperti pelatihan pembuatan motif bagi calon tenaga kerja agar setiap tenaga kerja baru dapat bekerja optimal karena sudah terlatih. 2) Asosiasi Senopati Kelurahan Purbayan Kecamatan Kotagede Yogyakarta berada pada kondisi increasing return to scale. 3) Perlu penambahan faktor produksi bahan baku dan tenaga kerja hingga titik optimal agar dapat menghasilkan jumlah produksi kerajinan perak yang maksimal.

This research is titled “Economies of Scale and Use of Factors of Production Efficiency in craftsmen of silver (Case Study: in the Senopati Association, Purbayan Village District Kotagede Yogyakarta)”. The purpose of this research are  to determine the effect of raw materials and labor simultaneously and partially to the amount of silver production, to find economies of scale craftsmen of silver, and to determine the efficiency of the use of factors of production of silver in the Association Senopati Purbayan Village, District Kotagede Yogyakarta. Research method that utilized is survey method with simple random sampling to determine the sample, with the consideration that the craftsmen are relatively homogeneous. The sample of this research consist of 46 craftsmen of silver. Data collected with interviews based on questionnaire. Analysis is done using model Cobb-Douglas is transformed into a linear natural logarithm function. Data analysis using the program SPSS 17.0. To determine the efficiency of input use of each factor is to calculate the ratio between the value of marginal product (NPM) of the input with the price (P) of input. If formulated mathematically, namely efficiency = NPM/P. 
The result showed that: 1) The variables of raw materials and labor simultaneously and partially have positive and significant impact on the amount of silver production. 2) Economies of scale are in increasing returns to scale. 3) The efficiency of the use of factors of production of silver in the Association Senopati Purbayan Village, District Kotagede Yogyakarta are yet efficient.
The implications of this research are 1) the craftsmen need to consider the existence of factors of production of raw materials, as well as provide training such as training on pattern making for prospective workers that any new workers to work optimally because of already trained. 2) Association of Village Senopati Purbayan subdistrict Kotagede Yogyakarta in a state of increasing returns to scale. 3) Before the addition of the factors of production of raw materials and labor to the optimal point in order to generate the amount of silver production is maximal.
