Seiring dengan berkembangnya perusahaan, maka jumlah pegawai pun terus bertambah. Hal ini menyebabkan meningkatnya beban pengelolaan data kepegawaian. Apalagi dengan digunakannya proses pengelolaan secara manual. Sistem informasi merupakan salah satu bentuk perkembangan teknologi di bidang teknologi informasi. Penggunaan sistem informasi akan mendukung terwujudnya manajemen informasi yang baik. PD. BKK Purwokerto Selatan sering mendapatkan masalah dalam pengelolaan data kepegawaiannya, terutama ketika proses kenaikan pangkat dan gaji pegawai. Proses tersebut seringkali terlambat karena pengelola lupa. Sistem informasi kepegawaian yang terkomputerisasi dapat menjadi solusi dari masalah tersebut. Metode yang digunakan dalam pembangunan sistem ini adalah Waterfall. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode wawancara dan studi literatur. Perancangan sistem dengan metode pemrograman berorientasi objek dan menghasilkan dokumentasi perancangan berupa Unified Modelling Language (UML) yang meliputi use case diagram, sequence diagram, conceptual data model, dan data flow diagram. Penulisan kode program menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP dengan framework Codeigniter dan DBMS Mysql. Sistem yang telah berhasil dikembangkan diimplementasi sehingga  dapat membantu pengelolaan data kepegawaian di PD. BKK Purwokerto Selatan.

Along with the development of the company, the number of employees continues to grow. It increase the load of employee information management. Moreover, with the use of manual management processes. The information system is the one of technological developments on the information technology. The use of information systems will creates a good information management. PD. BKK Purwokerto Selatan has problems in their employee data management, especially the promotion process of employee and salary. The process is often delayed because the management forgets the due date. Computerized personnel information system could be the solution of the problem. The software development life cycle used on this project is Waterfall. Interviews and literature studies were used to collect the data and information. System was designed with the object-oriented programming methods and generate documentation in the form of Unified Modeling Language (UML), which includes use case diagrams, sequence diagrams, conceptual data modeling, and data flow diagrams. The program coded using PHP with CodeIgniter framework and MySQL as the database management sysyem. The system has been developed and successfully implemented to assist the management of personnel data in PD. BKK Purwokerto Selatan.
