      Korban tindak pidana memiliki hak untuk dilindungi, dalam hal ini termasuk korban kekerasan fisik dalam rumah tangga. Kedudukan korban dalam peradilan pidana selama ini sering kali terabaikan. Korban tidak hanya menderita kerugian fisik dan psikis, bahkan harta benda akibat perbuatan pelaku sehingga sudah sepantasnya korban mendapat perlindungan hukum yang memadai. 
      Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui perlindungan hukum yang diberikan oleh kepolisian dalam proses penyidikan terhadap korban kekerasan fisik dalam rumah tangga dan faktor-faktor yang menghambat kepolisian dalam memberikan perlindungan hukum di Polres Tasikmalaya Kota. Data yang digunakan adalah data primer berupa hasil wawancara terhadap kepolisian dan korban kekerasan fisik dalam rumah tangga dan data sekunder berupa peraturan perundang-Undangan, buku literatur, dan situs internet. Metode penentuan responden dengan menggunakan Purposive Sampling dengan Criterian Based Selection dan metode analisis data secara deskriptif kualitatif.
      Berdasarkan hasil penelitian perlindungan hukum yang diberikan oleh kepolisian terhadap korban kekerasan fisik dalam rumah tangga sudah diberikan sesuai hak-hak korban. Faktor-faktor yang menghambat dalam memberikan perlindungan hukum berasal dari sisi korban.  Oleh karena itu, diperlukan adanya sosialisasi yang rutin kepada masyarakat mengenai KDRT.

ABSTRACT

The victim of criminal act has righto be protected, in this case such as the victim of physical abuse in the household. The position of the victim in  the  criminal court is often be stepped  aside. The victim  get the loss in physically and mentally, even their properties that is caused  by the act of criminal  so  it is  worthy for the victim  to get the appropriate law protection.

The purpose of this research is to  find out the  law protection  that  has been given by police in the  investigation process  to the  victim of  physical abuse   in  household and the factors that imped the police  in giving the law protection  in PolresTasikmalaya Kota. Data in this research uses   the primary data  such as  the result of interview to the  police  and  victim of  physical abuse  in household  and secondary data is such as  legislation  regulation, literature  book, and internet sites. Method of respondent determination is by using the Purposive sampling with Criteria Based Selection sand method of data analysis is qualitative descriptive.

Based on the result of research of law protection that has been given by police to the victim of physical  abuse  in household it  has been given according to  the  rights of  victim.  The factors that imped in giving the law protection that come from the side of victim. Because of that, it is needed the routine socialization to the society about KDRT/Household Abuse.
