Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh prebiotik FOS (fructo oligoscaride), GOS (galacto oligosacaride) dan Inulin dalam ransum itik Tegal terhadap bobot dan persentase bagian-bagian karkas (paha, dada, sayap, dan giblet). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan mulai tanggal 3 Mei 2015 sampai dengan 10 Juni 2015 di Seloarum Farm dan Laboratorium Ilmu Nutrisi Ternak dan Makanan Ternak Fakultas Peternakan Universitas Jendral Soedirman Purwokerto. Dalam penelitian ini materi yang digunakan adalah 80 ekor itik Tegal jantan umur 4 Minggu, dengan metode eksperimen dan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis variansi. Sebagai perlakuan adalah R0 sebagai pakan basal (kontrol), R1 pakan basal + 0,2% FOS, R2 pakan basal + 0,2% GOS, dan R3 pakan basal +0,2% Inulin. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata bobot dan persentase paha sebesar 96,40 g dan 7,16%, bobot dan persentase dada sebesar 200,37 g dan 14,80%, bobot dan persentase sayap sebesar 57,41 g dan 4,26%, serta bobot dan persentase giblet sebesar 91,78 g dan 6,80%. Hasil analisis variansi menujukan bahwa penggunaan prebiotik (FOS, GOS, dan Inulin) dalam ransum itik Tegal umur 10 minggu berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap bobot paha, bobot giblet, dan persentase sayap, namun berpengaruh tidak nyata (P>0,05) terhadap persentase dada, giblet, dan bobot sayap. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian prebiotik (FOS, GOS, dan Inulin) dalam ransum itik Tegal umur 10 Minggu sudah mampu meningkatkan bobot paha, giblet dan persentase sayap, namun masih menghasilkan bobot dan persentase dada, persentase paha, giblet dan bobot sayap yang relatif sama.

This research aimed to assess the effects of using prebiotics FOS (fructo oligosacaride), GOS (galactooligosacaride) and Inulin in Tegal ducks feed on the weight and percentage of carcass parts (thighs, breasts, wings, and giblet). This research had been conducted from May 3, 2015 until June 10, 2015 at Seloarum Farm and at the Laboratory of Animal Nutrition and Food Science, Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Jenderal Soedirman University, Purwokerto. For the purpose of this research, 80 male Tegal ducks aged 4 weeks were used as the research materials. This research used experimental research within a completely randomized design (CRD) in which the data were analyzed with an analysis of variance. The treatments were R0 as basal feed (control), R1 basal feed 0.2% FOS, R2 basal feed + 0.2% GOS, and R3 basal feed + 0.2% Inulin. Results of the analysis showed that the average weight and percentage of thigh, chest, wing, and giblet were 96.40 g and 7.16%, 200.37 g and 14.80%, 57.41 g and 4.26%, 91.78 g and 6.80%, respectively. The analysis of variance showed that the effect of using prebiotics (FOS, GOS, and inulin) in the feed of 10-week-old Tegal ducks was significant (P <0.05) on their thigh and giblet weights, and wing percentages, but was not significant (P> 0, 05) on the percentage of chest, giblet, and the weight of the wing. It can be concluded that adding prebiotics (FOS, GOS, and inulin) in 10-week-old Tegal ducks feed is able to increase the weight of the thigh, giblet and percentage of the wing, but is unable to increase the weight and the percentage of the chest, the thigh, giblet, and the weight of the wings.
