HUBUNGAN ANTARA SUHU LINGKUNGAN KERJA DAN TINGKAT ASUPAN CAIRAN DENGAN STATUS HIDRASI PADA PEKERJA INDUSTRI KNALPOT DI PURBALINGGA

Pekerja industri merupakan populasi yang sering melakukan kegiatan fisik di lingkungan panas dalam waktu yang lama sehingga rentan untuk mengalami kekurangan cairan karena pengeluaran keringat berlebih. Hal ini menyebabkan peningkatan asupan cairan pada pekerja jika asupan tidak terpenuhi maka dapat terjadi masalah kesehatan seperti status hidrasi yang buruk. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui hubungan antara suhu lingkungan kerja dan asupan cairan dengan status hidrasi pada pekerja industri knalpot di purbalingga. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi penelitian ini adalah pekerja pada bagian produksi sebanyak 80 orang. Pengangbilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling sebanyak 33 orang. Uji statistik yang digunakan univariat dan bivariat dengan korelasi spearman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa suhu lingkungan kerja sebesar 0.183 dengan nilai korelasi – 0.237 dan asupan cairan sebesar 0.065 dengan nilai korelasi – 0.325 terhdapat status hidrasi. Kesimpulan bahwa tiadak ada hubungan antara suhu lingkungan kerja dan asupan cairan terhadap status hidrasi pada pekerja knalpot di purbalingga.

Industrial workers are the population who often do a physical activities in the hot environment for a long period so they become susceptible in lacking of liquid because they produce more sweat. Hence, the liquid intake is increasing to these workers. If the liquid intake is not sufficient, it may cause harm to their health such as the bad hydration status. This research aims to know the connection between work environment temperature and liquid intake with hydration status on exhaust pipe workers in Purbalingga. The research method used was cross sectional design. The sample used purposive sampling counted 33 people. Statistical test used univariate and bivariate with Spearman correlation. The univariate results showed that majority of subjects in age 32 years, length of worked 8 hours and the long worked was 20 years. The average of liquid intake is highest water consumption that is 3750 ml. The good level of fluid intake is 21.2% and great is 60.6%. The measuring result WBGT is 35.5˚C, that is highest in area 4 (outdoor). Only 39.4% of workers were considered well hydrated. Other subjects were classified as pre-dehydrated 60.6% and not found dehydrated. The Spearman test results that no correlation between working environment temperature (p>0.05, r – 0.237) and no correlation between fluid intake and hydration status (p>0.05, r – 0.325). The conclusion is no relationship between the working environment temperature and fluid intake with hydration status on workers exhaust in Purbalingga.
