UJI POTENSI APLIKASI PUPUK HAYATI TERHADAP PENINGKATAN PERTUMBUHAN DAN HASIL BEBERAPA VARIETAS TANAMAN MELON (Cucumis melo L.)

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui dosis pemberian pupuk hayati yang optimal terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil beberapa varietas tanaman melon serta mengetahui tanggap beberapa varietas melon terhadap dosis pupuk hayati. Penelitian dilaksanakan mulai bulan Mei sampai bulan Agustus 2015 di Desa Pandak, Kecamatan Baturaden, Kabupaten Banyumas. Penelitian menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Kelompok Faktorial dengan dua faktor. Faktor pertama, empat varietas melon yaitu Action 434, Silver Light, Aramis dan Uranus. Faktor kedua, beberapa taraf dosis pupuk hayati terdiri atas 0 ml, 10 ml dan 15 ml. Variabel yang diamati adalah panjang tanaman, jumlah daun, luas daun, kehijauan daun, bobot segar tanaman, bobot kering tanaman, bobot buah, dan bobot segar akar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian pupuk hayati masih belum optimal untuk meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan hasil beberapa varietas melon. Interaksi antara varietas melon dengan dosis pupuk hayati menunjukkan perbedaan nyata hanya pada bobot kering tanaman serta sangat nyata hanya pada bobot segar akar.

The study aimed to determine the optimum doses of biofertilizer on growth and yield of melon varieties and response of melon varieties to biofertilizer doses. This sutdy was carried out from May until August 2015 at Pandak Village, Baturaden District, Banyumas Regency. This Study used Factorial Randomize Complete Block Design with two factors. First factor was four different varieties of melon: Action 434, Silver Light, Aramis and Uranus. Second factor was three levels of biofertilizer doses: 0 ml, 10 ml and 15 ml. The variables observed were plant lenght, number of leave, broad of leave, greeness of leave, fresh plant weight, dry plant weight, fruit weight and fresh root weight. The study showed that application of biofertilizer was not yet optimum for increasing growth and yield of melon varieties. The interaction between melon varieties with biofertilizer doses showed that there was significant difference on dry plant weight and very significant difference on fresh root weight.
