Teknologi akses yang ada di PT. Telkom area Purwokerto ada dua yaitu Multi Service Access Node (MSAN) dan  Gigabit Passive Optical Network (GPON) yang dapat melalukan pelayanan Triple Play. Triple Play adalah layanan suara, video, dan data yang disebarkan melalui jaringan broadband. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk membandingan kualitas jaringan IPTV pada sistem GPON dan MSAN, kemudian melakukan analisis pada kedua sistem tersebut, mana yang lebih baik untuk kualitas jaringan IPTV. 
Pada Tugas Akhir, dilakukan pengukuran untuk mengetahui kualitas jaringan IPTV menggunakan parameter-parameter yang telah ditentukan. Parameter pada MSAN terdapat 4 parameter yaitu line rate, signal to noise rasio (SNR), attenuation, dan attainable rate sedangkan pada GPON terdapat 3 parameter yaitu Tx power, Rx power dan attainable rate. Paramater tersebut diukur menggunakan Web Server Embassy. 
Dari hasil pengukuran tersebut, parameter yang akan dibandingkan untuk kedua teknologi akses tersebut adalah attainable rate, karena sistem MSAN dan GPON sama-sama memiliki parameter tersebut dari hasil pengukuran menggunakan Web Server Embassy. Parameter attainable rate nilai tertinggi pada MSAN yaitu 25,852 Mbps sedangkan pada GPON yaitu 1968 Mbps. Sehingga dengan perbandingan nilai tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa teknologi GPON memiliki kualitas jaringan IPTV yang lebih baik dibandingkan teknologi MSAN.

PT. Telkom Purwokerto area has two technology access in there. They are two Multi Service Access Node (MSAN) and Gigabit Passive Optical Network (GPON) that could perform a Triple Play service. Triple Play is a service which could be transmitted voice, video, and data via a broadband network. This project was conducted to compare the quality of IPTV networks on MSAN and GPON system, then analyzed both systems in order to give a recommendation about which system that could perform better for applying IPTV network.
This final project, the measurements of quality of  IPTV network is needed to determine the quality of IPTV networks by using the parameters that have been determined. On MSAN there are 4 parameters: line rate, signal to noise ratio (SNR), attenuation, and attainable rate while on GPON there are 3 parameters : Tx power, Rx power and attainable rate. These parameters were measured by using Web Server Embassy. 
From the result of these measurements, the parameters that would be compared in term of both the technology access is attainable rate, because both of MSAN and GPON have attainable rate from the result of measurement by using Web Server Embassy. Parameters attainable showed rate highest value on MSAN was 25.852 Mbps while the GPON was 1968 Mbps. So that by comparison this value, it could be concluded that GPON technology had better quality IPTV network than MSAN technology.
