ABSTRAK Nama : Fredi Aji Primadani NIM : E1A008247 Penerapan Pasal 234 Undang-Undang No.22 Tahun 2009 Tentang Tanggung Jawab Pengangkut Terhadap Pihak Ketiga Di PO Efisiensi Cilacap Penelitian ini berjudul “Penerapan Pasal 234 Undang-Undang No.22 Tahun 2009 Tentang Tanggung Jawab Pengangkut Terhadap Pihak Ketiga Di PO Efisiensi Cilacap”. Dalam proses pengangkutan, pengangkut bertanggung jawab dalam menjamin keselamatan orang dan atau barang dia kirim. disisi lain, pengangkut juga bertanggung jawab terhadap pihak ketiga yaitu pihak-pihak yang tidak turut serta dalam proses pengangkutan, namun menerima imbas dari terjadinya proses pengangkutan tersebut. dan pihak ketiga dalam hal ini seharusnya mendapatkan bentuk pertanggung jawaban sesuai aturan perundangg-undangan yang berlaku. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode Yuridis Normatif. Bahan hokum yang digunakan menggunakan bahan hokum primer dan sekunder. Metode Penyajian bahan hukum dalam penyusunan penelitian ini disajikan dalam bentuk uraian yang disusun sistematis dan analisis yang dilakukan secara normatif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian dan pembahasan menyatakan bahwa PO Efisiensi sudah melaksanakan tanggung jawabnya kepada pihak ketiga dalam hal kecelakaan yang terjadi di Maos-Cilacap sesuai dengan Pasal 234 Undang-Undang No.22 Tahun 2009.

In the process of transportation, the carrier is responsible for ensuring the safety of people or goods he sends. on the other hand, the carrier is also responsible for the third party that the parties do not participate in the process of transport, but received the impact of the occurrence of the transport process. and a third party in this case should get a form of accountability according to the rules and regulations applicable perundangg. The method used is a normative juridical method. Materials used law to use primary and secondary legal materials. Presentation method of legal materials in the preparation of this study are presented in the form of organized systematic description and analysis conducted normatively qualitative. Results of research and discussion stated that PO Efficiency has been carrying out its responsibilities to third parties in the event of accidents that occur in Maos-Cilacap in accordance with Article 234 of Law 22 of 2009.
