APLIKASI DUA ISOLAT Trichoderma harzianum UNTUK MENGENDALIKAN LAYU BAKTERI PADA TANAMAN KENTANG

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji kemampuan formula cair dari dua isolat Trichoderma harzianum dalam mengendalikan layu bakteri pada tanaman kentang dan pengaruhnya terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman kentang. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Perlindungan Tanaman Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman, Purwokerto, dan Lahan Petani Kentang Desa Serang, Kecamatan Karangreja, Kabupaten Purbalingga, mulai Maret sampai dengan Juni 2015.. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok, dengan 5 perlakuan dan 7 ulangan terdiri atas Kontrol, Trichoderma harzianum isolat bawang merah, Trichoderma harzianum isolate jahe, Trichoderma harzianum Gabungan isolat bawang merah dan jahe, dan bakterisida (berbahan aktif streptomisin sulfat 20%). Variabel yang diamati yaitu masa inkubasi, intensitas penyakit, laju infeksi, kepadatan akhir patogen, tinggi tanaman, jumlah umbi per tanaman, bobot umbi per tanaman, bobot tanaman kering, bobot akar kering, dan analisis jaringan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan Trichoderma harzianum isolat gabungan bawang merah dan jahe mampu menurunkan intensitas penyakit sebesar 51,72% serta meningkatkan tinggi tanaman, bobot akar kering, bobot tanaman kering masing-masing 5%, 26,6%, 34,9%.

This research aimed to test the ability of liquid formula originated from two isolates of Trichoderma harzianum in controlling bacterial wilt disease of potato and their influence on the growth and yield of potatoes. This research was conducted at the Laboratory of Plant Protection, Faculty of Agriculture, Jenderal Soedirman University, Purwokerto and potato field at Serang Village, Karangreja Subdistrict, Purbalingga Regency, from March until June, 2015. This research used a randomized block design, with 5 treatments and 7 replicates consisted of Control, Trichoderma harzianum onion isolate, Trichoderma harzianum ginger isolate, Trichoderma harzianum combined isolates of onion and ginger, and a bactericide (active ingredient of 20% streptomycin sulfate). Variables observed were incubation period, intensity of disease, the rate of infection, the final density of pathogens, plant height, number of tubers per plant, weight of tubers per plant, weight of dry plants, weight of dry roots, and tissue analysis. The research result indicated that the treatment of Trichoderma harzianum of combined isolates of onion and ginger was able to reduce the intensity of disease of 51.72% and to increase plant height, weight of dry root, weight of dry plant of 5%, 26.6%, 34.9% respectively.
