PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN PREBIOTIK DALAM RANSUM TERHADAP BOBOT DAN PERSENTASE NON KARKAS EDIBLE ITIK TEGAL JANTAN

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh prebiotik dalam ransum terhadap bobot dan persentase non karkas edible itik Tegal jantan. Penelitian dilaksanakan dari 02 Juni sampai 14 Juli 2015 di Seloarum farm Kecamatan Sokaraja dan Laboratorium Ilmu Nutrisi dan Makanan Ternak Fakultas Peternakan, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman Purwokerto. Materi penelitian yang digunakan adalah 80 ekor itik Tegal jantan umur 2 bulan. Bahan pakan yang digunakan yaitu jagung giling, dedak padi, tepung ikan, bungkil kedelai, minyak kelapa, premix, metionin, lysine dan prebiotik. Peralatan yang digunakan antara lain timbangan serta peralatan kandang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan, R0 = ransum kontrol; R1 = R0 + prebiotik FOS 0,2%; R2 = R0 + prebiotik GOS 0,2%; R3 = R0 + prebiotik Inulin 0,2%;. Setiap perlakuan diulang 5 kali serta setiap ulangan terdiri dari 4 ekor itik. Peubah yang diamati adalah bobot dan persentase non karkas edible (kepala, leher shank/ceker, dan usus/viscera). Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan analisis variansi dilanjutkan dengan uji beda nyata jujur (BNJ). Hasil analisis variansi menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan prebiotik dalam ransum itik Tegal tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap bobot dan persentase kepala, leher, ceker dan usus. Namun berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap persentase leher. Rataan bobot kepala, leher, ceker dan usus secara keseluruhan yaitu 76,4 g, 126,63 g, 39,27 g, 31.86 g. Rataan persentase kepala, leher, ceker dan usus secara keseluruhan yaitu 5,68 %, 9,39 %, 2.87 %, 2,35 %. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan prebiotik dalam ransum itik Tegal tidak dapat meningkatkan bobot dan persentase non karkas edible, sedangkan inulin dapat meningkatkan persentase leher sebesar 15 %.

The research aims to determine the effects of prebiotics usage in male Tegal duck diet on the weight and percentage of their edible non carcass components. The research was conducted from 2 june, 14 july 2015 in the Seloarum farm Sokaraja and the Laboratory of Nutrition and Food Science at the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, University of Jenderal Soedirman Purwokerto. The materials used in this research were 80 2-months-old-male ducks and various kinds of diet ingredients such as corn flour, rice bran , fish meal, soybean meal, palm oil, premix, methionine, lysine and prebiotics. The equipments used were analog scales, digital scales and equipment enclosure. The research used is experiment method within a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments, namely R0 = feed control; R1 = R0 + FOS 0.2 %; R2 = R0 + prebiotic GOS 0.2 %; R3 = R0 + prebiotic Inulin 0.2 % Each treatment was repeated 5 times and each replication consisted of 4 ducks. Variables measured are the percentage and weights of edible non carcass (head, neck, shank, and intestines/viscera ). Data were analyzed by analyse of variance and if there is was effect of the treatment, it was ifollowed by difference test honestly (DTH). The analysis of variance showed that the prebiotics in the diet did not significantly affect (P > 0.05) the weight and the percentage of the head, neck, claw intestine. The average weight of the head, neck, foot and overall gut is respectively 76.4 g, 126.63 g, 39.27 g, and 31.86 g. The average percentage of the head, neck, shank and intestinal is namely 5.68%, 9.39 %, 2.87 %, and 2.35%. it can be concluded that the prebiotics usage in the diet Tegal ducks can not increase the percentage and weight edible non carcass, but can only increase the percentage on the neck wich is 15%.
