HUBUNGAN ANTARA STRUKTUR VEGETASI DENGAN TINGKAT EROSI DAN KOMUNITAS COLLEMBOLA PADA TEGAKAN PINUS DI BKPH KEBASEN KPH BANYUMAS TIMUR

Hutan pinus banyak dikembangkan di Pulau Jawa oleh Perum Perhutani untuk merehabilitasi lahan kritis yang ditentukan oleh luas penutupan tajuk tegakan serta keberadaan vegetasi tumbuhan bawah. Kemampuan vegetasi hutan pinus dapat menekan limpasan permukaan dan erosi. Tingginya limpasan permukaan dan laju erosi akan menyebabkan penurunan tingkat kesuburan tanah serta hilangnya biota tanah seperti Collembola. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui hubungan antara tingkat penutupan tegakan pinus dan struktur vegetasi tumbuhan bawah dengan tingkat erosi dan struktur komunitas Collembola, serta mengetahui hubungan antara tingkat erosi dengan komposisi Collembola. Analisis dilakukan dengan Conical Corespondence Analysis (CCA), Multivariate Analysis of Variance (MANOVA), dan multiple regresi. Hasil uji CCA menunjukkan nilai varian kumulatif 84,9%. Hasil uji MANOVA antara tingkat erosi terhadap vegetasi tumbuhan bawah, dan komunitas Collembola menunjukkan perbedaan nyata (Wilks’s Lambda = 0,017) Hasil uji analisis multiple regresi antara curah hujan (X1), aliran permukaan (X2), dan erosi didapatkan fungsi erosi (Y) = 19,36 – 9,79X1 + 1,25X2. Erosi yang terjadi masih dikategorikan sangat rendah hingga rendah (7-37 ton.ha-1.hari-1).

Pine forests have been developed in Java by Perum Perhutani to land rehabilitation that determined by the canopy closure of the tree, and the presence of understorey vegetation. The ability of pine forest to rehabilite land is caused by its ability in reducing water runoff and soil erosion. In contrast, the less extensive the canopy, and rare understorey vegetation are, the higher the rate of surface runoff and erosion, which eventually causes a decrease in soil fertility and loss of soil biota such as Collembola. The objectives were to determine the relationship between the rate of pine tree canopy closure, with understorey vegetation structure and the level of erosion as well as Collembola community, to investigate the relationship between rates of erosion and Collembola composition. The results showed the value of the cumulative variance of 84,9%. MANOVA test revealed significant differences (Wilks's Lambda = 0,017) among erosion rates, understorey vegetation, and Collembola community according to canopy closure. The result of multiple regression analysis between precipitation (X1), surface flow (X2), and erosion produced an erosion function as (Y) = 19,36 - 9,79X1 + 1,25X2. Erosion was considered very low to low (7-37 ton.ha-1.day-1).
