HUBUNGAN ANTARA UKURAN TUBUH DENGAN BOBOT KARKAS DAN BOBOT KOMPONEN KARKAS PADA SAPI BRAHMAN CROSS

Tujuan untuk mengetahui mengetahui hubungan antara ukuran tubuh dengan bobot karkas dan bobot komponen karkas pada sapi Brahman cross. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode survei dan percobaan lapang dengan menggunakan sampel 35 ekor sapi Brahman cross. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ukuran tubuh sapi Brahman cross normal dan mempunyai korelasi yang positif dengan bobot karkas dan bobot komponen karkas. Semakin tinggi ukuran tubuh sapi Brahman cross maka semakin tinggi bobot karkas dan bobot komponen karkas.

The purpose of this research is to determine the relationship between the body sizes with the weights of carcasses and carcass components of Brahman cross cattle. By applying survey and field trial method, this research utilizes 35 Brahman cross cattle as the sample. The results of this experiment show that the body size of Brahman cross cattle is normal and has a positive correlation with the weights of their carcass and carcass components. This experiment concludes that the higher the cattle’s body size, the heavier their carcasses and carcass components.
