Judul penelitian ini adalah “Analisis Konseptual Metafor Oleh Margaret Thatcher dalam Film The Iron Lady. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan jenis-jenis metafora berdasakan teori dari Lakoff dan Johnson (1980), menentukan konsep metafor, dan menelaah arti ujaran-ujaran yang mengandung metafora dalam film The Iron Lady.
Peneliti menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dalam penelitian ini. Karena tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mencari informasi rinci mengenai metafora dalan ujaran sehari-hari, maka ini adalah metode yang tepat. Metode kualitatif juga diterapkan dalam penelitian ini karena data yang diperoleh adalah dari ujaran-ujaran seseorang.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 4 jenis metafora dalam film ini. Keempat jenis itu adalah struktural, orientasional, ontologikal, dan metonimi. Dari keempat jenis tersebut, yang paling sering dilontarkan oleh Margaret adalah struktural, dimana menyebut suatu istilah dengan istilah lain. Sementara itu, konsep metafora yang ditemukan cukup bervariasi tergantung dari ujaran dan pilihan kata. Hal ini terjadi karena Margaret memproduksi banyak istilah yang sebenarnya dimaksudkan untuk istilah lain dalam membentuk metafora struktural.
Peneliti menyarankan pada peneliti lain, untuk meneliti tiap jenis metafora lebih terperinci dan memfokuskan hanya pada satu jenis di tiap penelitian untuk memperoleh pemahman yang lebih mendalam. Untuk pembaca, penelitian ini dapat memperlus pengetahuan mengenai metafora dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.

The title of this research is “Analysis of Metaphorical Concepts Used by Margaret Thatcher in The Iron Lady Movie. This research is aimed at discovering the types of metaphor based on Lakoff and Johnson’s theory (1980), determining the concepts, and finding the meaning of utterances that contain metaphor through the context in The Iron Lady movie.
	The researcher used descriptive qualitative method in this research. Since the aim of this research is to find out detailed information about metaphorical concept in daily utterance, the descriptive method is a proper method. The qualitative method is also applied in this research because the data were taken from utterances.
	The result of this research shows that there are four types of metaphor in this movie. They are structural, orientational, ontological, and metonymy. From the four metaphors, the most produced by Margaret is structural, which is saying one term in term of another. Meanwhile, the concepts of metaphor were various depending on the utterances and the words that were used. This happened because Margaret also used various terms and choice of word that built the structural metaphor.
	The researcher suggested the other researchers to observe each type of metaphor in more detailed way, focusing on only one type to strengthen the understanding of each type. For the readers, expand the knowledge of any field of study especially in metaphor that people use everyday.
