Salah satu kendala dalam rangka mencapai universal coverage di Indonesia yaitu rendahnya kepesertaan BPJS Kesehatan bagi sektor informal. Kepesertaan asuransi kesehatan ini dapat didukung dengan adanya kemauan seseorang untuk membayar premi (willingness to pay). Penderes gula kelapa merupakan salah satu pekerja sektor informal yang keberadaanya paling signifikan di Kabupaten Banyumas dan masih rendahnya cakupan kepesertaan BPJS Kesehatan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap kemauan membayar premi BPJS Kesehatan bagi pekerja sektor informal (penderes gula kelapa) di Kecamatan Somagede Kabupaten Banyumas. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Sampelnya sebanyak 102 keluarga penderes gula kelapa dengan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Berdasarkan hasil analisis multivariat dari tujuh variabel independen hanya satu variabel yang berpengaruh pada kemauan membayar premi BPJS Kesehatan yaitu variabel persepsi terhadap model pembiayaan kesehatan melalui skema asuransi dengan nilai p = 0,002. Meningkatkan upaya sosialisasi atau menguatkan kembali pemberian informasi tentang program BPJS Kesehatan, meliputi manfaat yang dapat diterima dan juga sistem pelaksanaannya, kepada masyarakat dapat meningkatkan persepsi masyarakat mengenai model pembiayaan kesehatan melalui skema asuransi.

One of the obstacles in order to achieve universal coverage in Indonesia is the low participation of BPJS health for the informal sector. This health insurance membership can be supported by their willingness to pay a premium. Palm sugar worker is one of the informal sector workers that their existence is the most significant in Banyumas and lack of the participants in BPJS Health. The purpose of this research is to determine the factors that influence the willingness to pay the BPJS health premium for the informal sector workers (palm sugar workers) in sub district Somagede, Banyumas Regency. This research is a quantitative research with cross sectional approach. The samples are 102 palm sugar workers families by using simple random sampling technique. Based on the results of the multivariate analysis from seven independent variables, it is only one variable that affects the willingness to pay the BPJS health premium that is variable perceptions toward the health financing model through insurance schemes with a value of p = 0.002. Increasing the efforts to reinforce the dissemination or providing information about BPJS Health program, including the benefits that can be received and also the system of implementation, the community can improve public perception of the model of health financing through insurance schemes.
