Penelitian ini berkaitan dengan bentuk dan fungsi aizuchi soo-group dalam drama Sunao Ni Narenakute (Hard to Say I Love You). Penelitian ini menitikberatkan pada penggunaan aizuchi bentuk soo. Aizuchi soo-group memiliki banyak variasi dibandingkan bentuk lainnya. Selain dapat digunakan secara tunggal, aizuchi soo-group juga dapat digunakan dalam bentuk pengulangan serta digabungkan dengan aizuchi dan partikel lainnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk dan fungsi aizuchi soo-group dalam drama Sunao Ni Narenakute (Hard to Say I Love You). Pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif digunakan dalam penelitian ini, serta metode penjaringan data berupa metode simak bebas libat cakap dan metode catat. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 171 aizuchi soo-group dan aizuchi jenis soo muncul paling banyak yaitu 42 kali. 7 aizuchi berfungsi sebagai continuer, 59 sebagai tanda paham, 5 sebagai tanda dukungan terhadap penilaian penutur, 28 sebagai tanda setuju, 39 sebagai ungkapan emosional, serta 33 sebagai tambahan, koreksi, dan meminta informasi. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah bahwa aizuchi soo-group memiliki fungsi yang sama dengan fungsi aizuchi secara umum. Produksi tuturan aizuchi soo-group ini sangat dipengaruhi oleh faktor kekerabatan dan fungsi. Ungkapan soodesu menunjukkan bahwa terdapat jarak yang jauh antara pelaku tutur. Sementara ungkapan sooda menunjukkan hubungan yang dekat antara pelaku tutur. Beberapa bentuk dipengaruhi oleh fungsi, seperti Soone dan Sooyo yang digunakan untuk mengekspresikan kesepakatan atau dukungan. Sookana dan soodana dituturkan ketika terdapat perasaan ragu atau sedang memikirkan jawaban.

This research is related to the forms and the functions of aizuchi in the drama entitled Sunao Ni Narenakute (Hard to Say I Love You), focusing on the use of aizuchi soo-group as the main data. Aizuchi soo-group has the most variety forms than other forms. It can be used as single form, repetition form, and combined with other forms of aizuchi or particles. The purpose of this research is to describe the forms and the functions of aizuchi soo-group in the drama entitled Sunao Ni Narenakute (Hard to Say I Love You). The qualitative descriptive research is used in this research. There are two methods used as the method of data collection, such as Simak Bebas Libat Cakap and Catat method. The result of the research shows that there are 171 aizuchi soo-group found in the drama, and the soo form is the most appeared form with total 42 frequencies. 7 aizuchi of continuer, 59 of display understanding, 5 of signal of support toward the speaker’s judgement, 28 of agreement, 39 of emotional response, 33 of minor addition, correction and request for information. In conclusion, aizuchi soo-group has similar functions to common aizuchi. The production of aizuchi soo-group is influenced by the relationship and the function. For example, Soodesu shows that the speaker and the listener have distance in their relationship. Meanwhile, sooda shows the closer relationship. Some forms are influenced by function. For example, Soone and sooyo are to show the expression of agreement or support. Sookana and soodana are uttered when the speaker has doubt about something or thinking the answer.
