Sampah merupakan masalah klasik yang dihadapi oleh negara-negara maju maupun berkembang dan hingga saat ini penanganan serta pengelolaan sampah masih terus dikembangkan. Fakultas Ilmu-Ilmu Kesehatan (FIKes) Universitas Jenderal Soedirman merupakan salah satu pusat kegiatan pendidikan yang menghasilkan sampah, seperti bangunan pendidikan lainnya. Berdasarkan hasil pendahuluan yang dilakukan peneliti, diketahui bahwa tempat sampah di kampus FIKes belum terbagi menurut jenisnya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis kinerja pengelolaan sampah di Kampus Fakultas Ilmu-Ilmu Kesehatan Universitas Jenderal Soedirman Purwokerto. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Subyek penelitian diperoleh dengan menggunakan purposive sampling sebanyak 8 orang. Cara pengumpulan data dengan wawancara mendalam, analisis dokumen dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan penelitian aspek teknis operasional pengelolaan sampah di FIKes UNSOED hanya meliputi penampungan/ pewadahan, dan pengumpulan. Aspek kelembagaan yang menangani pengelolaan sampah adalah lembaga struktural Fakultas Ilmu-Ilmu Kesehatan. Aspek hukum dan peraturan sistem pengelolaan sampah tidak memiliki dasar peraturan pengelolaan sampah. Aspek pembiayaan berasal dari pusat dan sebagian dari Dekanat sendiri. Tingkat kinerja pengelolaan sampah di Kampus FIKes UNSOED berdasarkan efektivitas sudah tergolong baik namun masih ada kekurangan. Tingkat kinerja pengelolaan sampah di Kampus FIKes UNSOED berdasarkan efisisensi masih terdapat kekurangan. Tingkat kinerja pengelolaan sampah di Kampus FIkes UNSOED berdasarkan responsivitas sudah dapat diwujudkan dengan baik. Penambahan alat angkut berupa tossa, standarisasi tempat sampah, pengolahan sampah mandiri seperti mendirikan bank sampah serta meningkatkan peran aktif civitas akademika terutama mahasiswa.

Garbage is an age-old problem faced by the old developed countries as well as develop and until now this time in handling as well as waste management still continuous. Faculty of Health Sciences (FIKes) Jenderal Soedirman University (Unsoed) is one of the educational activities that create waste such as building other education. Based on the results the introduction that done researchers , be seen that the garbage on campus FIKes undivided according to its kind. The purpose of this research is analyzing the performance of waste management in the FIKes Unsoed. Methods used is qualitative descriptive. The subject of research obtained by the use of sampling purposive as many as eight people. The ways of collecting data with in-depth interviews, document analysis and documentation. Based on the research of the technical aspects of operational waste management in the FIKes Unsoed covers only shelter, and the collection of. Institutional aspects which specifically handle waste management does not exist. Aspects of law and order system of waste management do not have basic rules. Funding aspect derived from the center and a part of the deanship own. Performance level of waste management in the FIKes Unsoed based on the effectiveness of is considered to be good but there are still deficient, based on efisisensi there are still deficient, and based on responsiveness already be embodied well. The addition of a conveyance of tossa , standardization the garbage, trash processing founded mandiri like trash bank and to increase the role of active academics akademika especially students.
