Usia balita merupakan periode Golden age dalam daur kehidupan seseorang. Masalah gizi yang sering dialami balita adalah balita Bawah Garis Merah (BGM). Penyebab balita BGM adalah pola asuh ibu yang dipengaruhi oleh paparan informasi kesehatan yang diterima ibu. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan paparan informasi kesehatan yang diterima ibu balita BGM di Kabupaten Banyumas. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif untuk mengetahui gambaran paparan informasi kesehatan yang diperoleh ibu balita BGM. Penelitian dilakukan dengan wawancara mendalam kepada 5 orang subjek penelitian utama dan 8 orang subjek penelitian pendukung. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa ibu balita mendapat informasi kesehatan dari posyandu, rumah sakit dan internet. Isi materi dari informasi kesehatan yang diperoleh ibu balita adalah tentang penambahan jumlah dan porsi makan anak untuk meningkatkan berat badan dengan menu yang seimbang dan plot berat badan anak di KMS menandakan status gizi anak. Media cetak seperti buku KIA dan leaflet serta media internet merupakan penyalur informasi yang digunakan oleh ibu balita. Ibu lebih menyukai media internet untuk mencari informasi. Ibu balita memantau status gizi anak melalui perubahan berat badan anak di posyandu yang tercatat pada KMS. Melalui informasi ibu mendapat pengetahuan untuk mengatasi kekurangan berat badan anak melalui pemberian makan dalam jumlah dan porsi lebih banyak dengan menu makan seimbang. Pemahaman ibu balita tentang BGM yaitu ibu balita menganggap balita BGM berstatus gizi kurang. Saran yang diberikan sebaiknya ibu balita lebih aktif mengikuti kegiatan penyuluhan atau kegiatan lain yang dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang tumbuh kembang balita.

The age of the children under five is the Golden age period in a person's life cycle. Nutritional problems that are often suffered by the children under five is under nutrition children. The cause of under nutrition children is mother parenting behavior that is affected by the information explanation that are gotten by the mother. This study aimed to describe the explanation of health information that are gotten by mothers under nutrition children in Banyumas district. This is qualitative descriptive study which is to find the information about the explanation of health information that are gotten by mothers under nutrition children. The study was conducted by indepth interview to the 5 main research subjects and 8 supporting research subjects. The results showed that mothers received the health information from public health center, hospital and internet. The things that are informed in health information that are obtained by mothers is about the adding number and size of the children’s meal to raise the weight with a balanced diet and the child's weight plot in KMS signified the nutritional status of children. Print media such as KIA books and leaflets as well as internet media are the channel of information that is used by the mother. The mother is more interested in using the internet to search information. Mothers monitor the nutritional status of children through the changes of child's weight in public health center that are recorded in KMS. Mothers feed the children under five more portion with a balanced diet to eclipse the low weight in children. The mothers assume that the under nutrition children had less nutritional status. The advices that is given is the mothers should be more active in improving knowledge of the nutritional status or the growth and development of children under five.
